    If necessary, you can remove the archive files.

    If you remove the archive files, then all the video footage that they contained will be lost.

    If you do not remove the archive files, you can re-use them to create another archive (see Creating an archive based on existing archive volumes). You can as well use a partition to re-create an archive.
