A macro to replicate protected records starts working when the archive reaches its limit. At this point, it automatically starts deleting the oldest records to add space for new records. |
You must You have to create and configure a Cycle rules macro (see General information about macros) to automatically copy protected videos records to a separate archive:
- The first action in the macro must be Wait for timeout.
- In the Timeout field, specify the periodicity of checking an archive for protected records.
- The second action in the macro must be Check protected records in archive. In this action, do the following:
- In the Camera field, select a camera or a group of cameras, the archive of which must be checked for protected records.
- If you select a specific camera, in the Record to field, specify the archive that you want to check for protected records. If you select a group of cameras in the previous step, only the default archive is checked (see Configuring the default archive).
- In the Depth of check field, specify the depth of check in HH:MM:SS format. The time interval between checks is calculated as follows: [starting time of the earliest recording in an archive, starting time of the earliest recording in an archive + depth of check].
- Add Start replication as an action that must be performed when there are protected videos records within the check interval (see Start replication).
- Select During as the replication period. Replication duration determines the time interval from which protected records are copied to another archive. All protected intervals starting within the [starting time of the earliest recording in an archive; starting time of the earliest recording in an archive + replication duration] interval are copied to the replication archive. In general cases, the replication duration must be the same as the Depth of check parameter.
