The In Axxon PSIM Software System supports the use of software, you can use different streams from a video the camera for display displaying video on the Video Surveillance Monitorvideo surveillance monitor, archiving, and video analytics. For example, this feature option lets you display a low-quality video signal on the monitor while writing recording a high-quality signal video to the archive, reducing which reduces the load on the Clientclient.

To configure multistream settings, do the following:

1. Go to the Hardware tab (1) in the System Settings dialog window.
2. In the object tree on the Hardware tab, select the previously created Camera object (2) object that corresponds to the video camera for which multistream mode is to be configured. The right part of the Hardware tab shows you want to configure multistreaming mode.
3. Go to the Streams settings tab on the settings panel for the selected object.On the Camera object's settings panel, go to the Streams settings tab (3)of the Camera object.

4. To enable multistream mode, check the Streams configuring box (4).
5. Set the Streams configuring checkbox to enable multistreaming mode.
6. Set the checkboxes Check the boxes next to the used video streams to enable them (5)of the camera.

7. Check Set the box checkbox in the the Default column (6) in the line of next to the stream number that should be used you need to use in the following cases:

   1. To display video both locally and on remote clients;.

   2. To send to remote clients, including the Videogate, that can record this video stream;.

      If a specific video stream is requested via Video gateVideogate, then the requested stream is send to Video gate, not the Default stream one, is transmitted.

8. Check Set the box checkbox in the the Video analytics column (7) in the line of the stream number that should be used for the LPR channel column next to the stream number that you need to use for the face recognition server, the main motion detection tooldetector, zone detection toolsdetectors, tracking detection tool detectors and face detection tool detectors (if an external recognizer is not isn't used).Check

9. Set the

    If you select different streams are selected for recording to the archive upon alarms and continuous recording , where recording is performed non-stop, and detection tools detectors are enabled, then upon alarm the recording of the current archive fragment is stopped stops upon alarm in the continuous recording stream and recording of a new fragment starts in the alarm recording stream. When the alarm ends and after prepost-alarm recording, the continuous recording with the corresponding stream resumes. If you select the same stream is selected for recording to the archive upon alarms and continuous recording, then recording of the current fragment is not stopped doesn't stop upon alarm.

11. Configure the video streams as follows:
    
    1. Go to the tab that corresponds to the desired required video stream (10).

    2. The Purpose field (11) displays a description of how the video stream is used. field displays the information on how to use a video stream.

    3. In the Codec group, specify the video stream parameters (Specify the video stream's parameters (12) (see The Settings panel of the Camera object): codec, key frame rate, video quality.

    4. Repeat steps a-d for the remaining video streams.
12. Click the Apply button.
