When you run the Update Service for the first time, the IP address and port of the update server are automatically detected and written to the settings.json file. If necessary, you can change them—Changing the IP address of the update server.

When you install the Update Service, a separate branch HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Update Service is created in the registry. The branch is deleted from the registry when you remove the Update Service (see Axxon PSIM base version, for the information on working with the registry, see Working with Windows OS registry).

When you try to install an older version of the Update Service, a warning window opens:
