To remove Axxon PSIM from the Start menu, do the following:

  1.  In the Windows Start menu, select the Axxon PSIM folder and then Remove it.

    The Select Action dialog box will open.
  2. Select the Remove action.
  3. If you want to save Axxon PSIM settings in the database, set the Save program settings and configuration files (recommended) checkbox.

    If the sync.xml file was changed, then after removing with the configuration saved, the file will not be deleted, but the next time you install Axxon PSIM, it will be overwritten.
    If you made changes to the ddi or dbi files installed with Axxon PSIM, using the ddi.exe utility, then these files will be deleted when removing Axxon PSIM with configuration saved. If you created new ddi or dbi files, they will be saved.

    If the Save program settings and configuration files (recommended) checkbox is clear, a warning message will appear.

    When removing Axxon PSIM without configuration saved, all temporary and service files created during installation, as well as user settings of the program, will be deleted.

  4. Click the Next button.

    Click the Cancel button to cancel Axxon PSIM removing.

    The dialog window displaying the Axxon PSIM removing process will open.

    After removing the files, a message will be displayed, informing that Axxon PSIM removal is complete.

  5. Click the Finish button.

To completely remove Axxon PSIM, you should manually delete the Axxon PSIM installation directory and all Video folders created for storing audio and video recordings.

Note, that the name of the Axxon PSIM installation directory may differ from the default name (C:\Program Files\Axxon PSIM).

In some cases, you may need to restart Windows OS before removing the Axxon PSIM installation directory (for instance, folders/Axxon PSIM).

We don't recommend removing the Axxon PSIM installation directory, if you plan to re-install Axxon PSIM. The directory contains:

  1. Folders with video recordings and video recordings frames exported during Axxon PSIM operation.
  2. Log files containing the information about Axxon PSIM module operations.
  3. Backup copies of these files.

Removing Axxon PSIM from the Start menu is complete.
