  1. Go to the settings panel of the ONVIF-Server object.
  2. Specify the port number used to connect to the server (1).
  3. From the IP-interface drop-down list (2), select the network interface used to connect to the server.
  4. From the RTSP-server drop-down list (3),select the RTSP server used together withthis ONVIF-Server object.
  5. In the Brand (4) and Model (5) fields, specify the names that are displayed while searching in various clients that support getting the stream over ONVIF, for example, ONVIF Device Manager.
  6. By default, the ONVIF 1.X standard is used to transmit video. The ONVIF 1.X standard corresponds to ONVIF profile S and is used to transmit video in MPEG, MJPEG, and H264 formats (always enabled). If you want to transmit video in H265, H264, MPEG, or MJPEG formats according to the ONVIF 2.X standard that corresponds to ONVIF profile T, set the Use Media2 service checkbox (6). In this case, in addition to profile S, profile T is also enabled. For more information about ONVIF profiles, see Main ONVIF profiles.
  7. Set the Allow DHCP setting checkbox (7) if the network uses the DHCP protocol.

  8. By default, the WS-Discovery mode is enabled for the ONVIF server. Clear the Discovery mode checkbox (8) in order to disable it.

    All apps that use port 3702 must be shut down on the computer where the ONVIF-Server is started for proper operation of the Discovery mode.
    You can see processes and ports occupied by them using the Netstat -ano -p udp command.

  9. From the Department drop-down list (9), select the department where the users are created when they are added via the ONVIF-Server interface.

    You can create users in the ONVIF-Server interface using the third-party software, for example, ONVIF Device Manager. The Administrator rights are required to create users (see Configuring rights to work with the ONVIF server).

  10. If it is required to redirect all RTSP server and ONVIF server requests to the specified port, set the Use RTSP over HTTP Proxy checkbox (10) and specify the port number in the Port field (11). This can be necessary for the ONVIF server operation behind NAT.

  11. If it is necessary for the ONVIF server to use a specific IP address behind NAT in responses to clients, enter this address in the NAT IP address field  field (12). This can be necessary, for example, if clients connect not from the local network but from the internet via an external IP address.

  12. Click the Apply button.
