The Distributed configuration node allows changing the computer name and/or IP - address in the Intellect database.

To change the computer name in the configuration database, do the following:

  1. Close the Shut down Intellect software if it is openruns.
  2. Start the Tweakitweaki.exe utility (see the  Starting and shutting-down the Tweaki.exe utility).
  3. Select the Distributed configuraionconfiguration in the tree on the left side of the utility dialog box (1see The Settings panel of the Distributed configuration section).
  4. Select the database containing the computer name to be changed using the Select database (2) with Select database or 1) or Use current DB buttons.

    As a result the Available Slaves table systems (3) table will show all computer names registered in the selected database (4).Image Removed
  5. To select the computer name to be changed in the the Available Slavessystems table, right-click an appropriate row. The row will be highlighted.
  6. Click the button next to the the New Slave system ID (4) field to see the drop-down list of available computer names. Select the required computer name in the list. The selected name will appear in the the New Slave ID field (4)system ID field. Name can also be entered in the field manually.
  7. Check Set one of the following checkboxes: Check the Protocol Update Protocol (5) checkbox to replace the computer name in the events log, or the the Clear Protocolprotocol checkbox to delete all records in the log. Only one of two checkboxes should be checked (5)set.
  8. Click the the Update DB button  button ( 67). The progress of replacing computer names for a new one will be displayed in the field below the the Update button DB button (78).

To change the IP - address in the configuration database, do the following:

  1. Do steps 1-4 of the previous instructions (1).
  2. Select the IP - address to be replaced from the From drop-down list (29).
  3. Enter a new IP - address into the To field , or leave the default LOCALHOST value (3(10).
  4. Click the Change the Edit button (411).Image Removed

The IP - address in the From field and in the database will be changed.
