Configure the VIT program module

as follows:

1. Go to the Hardware tab in the System settings dialog window (1).In the objects tree on the Hardware tab select the VIT object, corresponding to the set VIT program module (2). The settings panel of the selected object will open on the right of the windowmodule object settings panel, which is created on the basis of the LPR Channel object.

2. Set the Zooming check box checkbox checked to increase the plate recognizing speed on mega-pixel vedio video cameras without loss of recognizing quality (31).

   This check box is relevant when the value of the Zone width parameter is more than 150 pixels (see Setting up the LPR channel detector section). The recognizing speed is increasing: 2 times if the value of the Zone width parameter is more than 150 pixels; 4 times if the value of the Zone width parameter is more than 400 pixels; 8 times if the value of the Zone width parameter is more than 800 pixels.

3. Set the Consider LP angle checkbox if license plate angle is to be taken into account at recognition (4).
4. Set the Deeper image analysis checkbox if enhanced algorithm of image analysis is to be used in order to search and recognize a license plate (5).
5. A threshold for pixel brightness evaluation when converting colored image to black-and-white for analysis can be set in the Binarization threshold of color pixels into black and white field (6).
6. A similarity level between LP template and analyzed image can be set in the Minimal percentage of similarity between result and template field in percents (7).
7. Click Apply to save the changes (8).

2. If there is frame loss during recognition when mega-pixel video cameras are in use, then the frame loss can be compensated by increasing the maximum number of recognition streams. For this change the value of the Number of streams for frame processing field (2):
   

   1. If the value of the Number of streams for frame processing field is 0,recognition will be performed in the same stream it was started. It is the default value.

   2. If the value of the Number of streams for frame processing field is 1, recognition will be performed in the parallel stream to the process that starts it. This is the recommended value.

   3. If the value of the Number of streams for frame processing field is 2, recognition will be performed in two streams simultaneously to the process that starts it. But in this case 2 licenses are in use.
      

5. Perform fine tuning of SDK if required (3, see VIT module object settings panel).

6. Click Apply button (4) to save the changes.

The VIT program module is now configured.
