In Starting from Face Intellect version 7.1, the value of the UseFaceDB key that regulates the faces storage has been updated, resulting in a change in the general mode of storing faces and related data (see Faces and related data storage modes).

Face Intellect 7.0 defaults to UseFaceDB = 0, while Face Intellect 7.1 uses UseFaceDB = 2.

In this regard, when upgrading from Face Intellect 7.0 to Face Intellect 7.1, and migrating the data, it is recommended to perform the following actions:

.0.1161 only the UseFaceDB = 2 mode of storing face images, vectors and metadata is supported (see Storage modes for face images, vectors and metadata).

If the UseFaceDB = 0 or UseFaceDB = 1 mode was previously used, then when upgrading from earlier versions to Face Intellect 7.1.0.1161, it is necessary to do the following to transfer data:

  1. Go to the Go to <Intellect installation directory>\Modules folder and run the native FaceRecognitionTool.exe utility.
  2. Follow the steps from Using the Face Recognition Tool utility, selecting Big filesystem option from the Mode drop-down list (1).
