Smart search in the archive is a search in the video camera archive, taking into account the trajectories of objects object tracks registered by the Tracker object and stored in the trajectory track database.

The Intellect software Axxon PSIM supports the following types of smart search types:

  1. Search by motion in the area
  2. Search by moving from one area to another see Search by motion in the area
  3. Search by line crossing

An additional search condition – When you use any of these types of smart search, you can set an additional search criterionthe color of the searched object – can be set for any of those smart search types, see , see Search by colour.

In order to use the smart search in the archive, configure the following:

  1. Create the VMDA metadata storage and the Tracker objects for the camera that is used for searching in Intellect software package Axxon PSIM (see Configuring smart video detection tools).
  2. Select the VMDA metadata storage for the corresponding camera on the settings panel of the Monitor object settings panel (see Selecting and configuring video cameras).

During smart search in the archive, the registry key with the parameter LogTracker=1 is used to write logs to a new vmda_lib.log file in the Modules64 folder (see Registry keys reference guide. For more information on working with the registry, see Working with Windows OS registry). The log file is written only for 64-bit systems.
