By default, video is recorded to the archive with the same frame rate as the video capture card digitizes it. Thus, to reduce the archive size, you can configure the frame rate can be configuredof this parameter.

  1. Go to the Hardware tab in the System settings dialog box (1) window.

  9. Specify the recording frame rate value in the Recording frame rate field (4). The value is not to mustn't exceed the digitization frame rate value. The value set for the the Recording frame rate parameter allows calculating the interval (msec) in which a frame is to must be captured to be stored in the for archive .  The calculation is made recording. You can calculate according to the formula:
    Interval Time interval = 1000 / Value in the Recording frame rate field
