You can make only newest recordings in your available for the VMS users.
To do this, select the history (in days) in the appropriate field and click Apply.
restrict the availability of an archive for viewing by system users. To do this, do the following:
- Go to the Archive tab.
- Select the required archive from the list.
- In the Depth, days field, specify the available archive depth in days.

you set the 0 value, the entire archive will be available for viewing.
- Click the Apply button.
As a result, only the recordings within the specified depth are available in an archive. The recordings that are outside the specified archive depth won’t be available for viewing. You can view only video recordings not exceeding the retention time setting. All other videos will be deleted.

FurtherLater, if you are increasing the Archive retention time (0 - stands for unlimited time), this setting is applied for new records only. Earlier records falling outside the initial retention time become inaccessiblechange the available archive depth upwards or to 0, the setting will apply only to new recordings. Earlier recordings outside the initial archive depth don't become available. |
