The Perspective configuration enhances detection tools the performance and helps evaluate real sizes of the detectors and allows you to estimate the real size of objects based on a simplified calibration system.

Note
titleAttention!

Correct operation of object calibration isn't possible if you use a camera with strong perspective distortion (for example, fisheye).

To configure the perspective, do the following:

  1. Select the Object

  2. Tracker object and click the Image Removed button.Set
  3. tracker.

  4. In the settings of the Object tracker (see Configuring the Object tracker):
    1. Select the Yes value for the Object calibration parameter.
    2. In the Leveling rod height parameter, enter the height of the calibration object on the video image in decimeters.
  5. In the preview window, click the Image Added button.
  6. Visually specify the size of the same object in different

    • Rods must be exactly the same size as the object, which serves as a template for a leveling rod. For example, a person's height can serve as a template:

      titleAttention!

      When you configure leveling rods, the following requirements must be met:

      1. rods must be evenly distributed throughout the frame: the larger area they cover, the more accurate the calibration;
      2. rods that are equally distant from the camera lens must be the same size;
      3. all bases of the rods must be on the same plane (for example, floor);
      4. in complex scenes, we recommend adding more than three rods, but no more than 10-15 rods per frame.
