- Hover the mouse cursor over the
- Click Click the button and assign add a backup Server.
- Click the button and add primary Servers.
- If you need to maintain a local event database on Servers, activate the corresponding switch (1).
If you need want to maintain local footage archives on primary Serversreplicate the local archive when the master node is on the backup Server, activate the corresponding switch (2).
Note title Attention! The local video footage will archive must be created as a 10 GB file located in the C:/temp_arch folder. If the node is migrated from a primary Server to a backup one, video data will be recorded to this file and replicated to the main Archive (video footage) on the backup Server (see paragraph 10on the master node (see Creating a local archive).
- If you need to replicate local archives to the backup Server on permanent basis, activate the corresponding switch (3). Otherwise, the replication will be performed only when the corresponding node is migrated to the backup serverServer.
By default, the self-diagnostics service is running on all nodes (see Self-diagnostics service). To stop it, de-activate deactivate the Self diagnostics parameter (4).
- Click the Logging button button to set the logging parameters (5):
- Select the logging level (see Log management utility).
- Set the log archiving options (
- see Log management utility).
- Click the APPLY button.
The configuration is now created, and the nodes are now automatically started. "Failover" string will be automatically added to the name of the backup node. - Merge all nodes into a single Axxon-domain (see Connecting to a Node and Configuring of an Axxon domain).
- Configure the footage archives operation:
- On the backup node, create an archive for replication (see Creating archives).
- On the primary master nodes, configure the replication from the primary master Servers' archives to the backup node's archive. The replication period should be set to Always archive (see Configuring data replication). You have to set the The replication time period should be set to Always regardless regardless of the value of the Force arhive archive replication parameter (see paragraph item 6).
Configuration of the Failover system Setting up a configuration with the backup Server is now complete.
When a master node is migrated to the Failover Server, the latter creates a temporary 10 GB archive in C:\will be automatically created in the С:/temp_arch which Axxon One refers to folder of the backup Server as a 10 GB file. In Axxon One, the temporary archive will be marked as Archive in failover server.
Its The records from the temporary archive will be replicated to Backup Server's main archive the archive for replication (see Archive 3 on the picture figure above) of the backup Server.
If necessary, you can further edit the configuration. To do so, click click the button. You can perform do the following actions:
- add/remove Servers;
- add/delete nodes;
activate/de-activate deactivate the self-diagnostics service;
- change logging parameters;
- completely remove the configuration.
To manually stop or launch start a node, click click and select the required action.
