Starting

If the path to the psim.sec key file was not specified during the installation, it is necessary to put psim.sec into the Axxon PSIM software root directory. In the absence of the key file starting will be in the demo mode. |
The Axxon PSIM system can be started either:
- Automatically. The software starts automatically after the operating system loads.
- Manually. Axxon PSIM can be started through the Start menu: Start → Axxon PSIM. To start Server configuration click the Axxon PSIM menu item, while for Client configuration go to Client Workstation.
The start-up window will be displayed.

If there is no license key and Axxon PSIM is started in the demo mode, then there is the Demonstration mode message in the startup dialog box. |
If user rights restrictions were implemented during software configuration, then a password will be required from the user during start-up of the software. Enter the password and click the Registration button.

The number of login attempts is limited. If an incorrect password is entered three times, the next login attempt can be made in 60 seconds. |
If Windows authentication is used for authorization, login and password input is not necessary. To start the Axxon PSIM software just click the Registration button. Login and Password fields are to be empty in this case.

Confirmation by supervisor
Confirmation by supervisor is required while the user log-in to the system if the authorization by four-eyes rule is configured in the system.
After clicking the Registration button it will be proposed to enter the supervisor login and password. After entering the supervisor password click the Registration button again.
Password change at logging in
The password change can be required if there is the corresponding setting in the Axxon PSIM software. It may occur at the first user login to the system or after the current password time-out. In this case after clicking the Registration button you will be proposed to enter and confirm a new password.
The password can be changed by user request if there is the corresponding setting in the Axxon PSIM software. In this case click the Change password button and then enter and confirm the new password.

To start the Axxon PSIM software after entering the new password click the Registration button.
Two-factor authentication
The two-factor authentication function can be configured in Axxon PSIM requiring login confirmation by SMS code – see Configuring two-factor authentication. In this case, after entering the login and password and clicking on the Register button, a short message with the code will be sent to the user's phone number. Enter this code in the SMS code box that opens, and then click the OK button.
If the message with the code does is not delivered, you can click the Resend button to send the code again but not less than in 10 seconds after the previous resend.
Shutting down
Shut down the Axxon PSIM software as follows:
- Point the mouse to the upper right corner of the screen and the Axxon PSIM Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) will appear.
- Click the
button in the QAT. - Select the Shutdown menu item.

Software shutdown will begin, and a password will be required if one is set. Enter the password and click the Shutdown button.

When shutting down Axxon PSIM in Client configuration in a way that somehow differs from one listed above, particularly when restarting the computer without shutting down Axxon PSIM, the interface parameters may remain unsaved. For example, the data about saved layouts on the Video monitor can be lost. |

El sistema Axxon PSIM puede iniciarse de una de estas dos formas:
- Automáticamente. El software se inicia de forma automática tras la carga del sistema operativo.
- Manualmente. Se puede iniciar Axxon PSIM mediante el menú Inicio: Inicio → Todos los programas → AxxonPSIM . Para iniciar la configuración del Servidor, haga clic en el objeto de menú Axxon PSIM, mientras que para la configuración de Cliente se debe dirigir a Estación de Trabajo Cliente.

Si se han aplicado restricciones a los derechos de usuario durante la configuración del software, se requerirá que el usuario introduzca una contraseña al iniciar el software. Introduzca la contraseña y haga clic en el botón Registro.

El número de intentos de acceso es limitado. Si se introduce una contraseña incorrecta tres veces, el siguiente intento de acceso podrá realizarse transcurridos 60 segundos. |
Si el método empleado para autorizar el acceso es la autenticación de Windows, no serán necesarios ni el inicio de sesión ni la contraseña. Para iniciar el software PSIM solamente se debe hacer clic en el botón Registro. Los campos Inicio de sesión y Contraseña deben quedar vacíos en este caso.

Confirmación del supervisor
Si se ha implementado una autorización bajo el principio de los cuatro ojos en la configuración del sistema, será necesaria la confirmación de un supervisor cuando el usuario inicie sesión en él.
Tras hacer clic en el botón Registro, se requerirá introducir el nombre de usuario y contraseña de supervisor. Una vez se haya introducido la contraseña de supervisor, se debe hacer clic en el botón Registro de nuevo.
Cambio de contraseña al iniciar sesión
Puede que en alguna ocasión se requiera un cambio de contraseña si el software Axxon PSIM contiene esta configuración. Esto puede darse en el primer inicio de sesión de un usuario en el sistema o tras haberse agotado el tiempo de espera de la contraseña actual. En este caso, después de hacer clic en el botón Registro, el sistema pedirá introducir y confirmar una nueva contraseña.
Un usuario puede modificar la contraseña si el software Axxon PSIM estáconfiguradode este modo. En este caso, se debe hacer clic en el botón Cambiar contraseña e introducir y confirmar la nueva contraseña.

Para iniciar el software Axxon PSIM después de introducir la nueva contraseña, haga clic en el botón Registro.
Two-factor authentication
El método de autenticación de dos pasos puede configurarse en Axxon PSIM, que requiere la confirmación del inicio de sesión mediante un código SMS. – ver Configuring two-factor authentication. En este caso, tras introducir el nombre de usuario y la contraseña y hacer clic en el botón Registrarse, se enviará un mensaje corto con el código al número de teléfono del usuario. Introduzca este código en la casilla de código SMS emergente y, a continuación, haga clic en el botón OK.
Si no recibe el mensaje con el código, puede hacer clic en el botón Reenviar para enviar el código de nuevo, pero no menos de 10 segundos después del reenvío anterior.
Cierre
Para cerrar el software Axxon PSIM, se debe hacer lo siguiente:
- Dirija el cursor a la esquina superior derecha de la pantalla hasta que aparezca la Barra de Herramientas de Acceso Rápido Axxon PSIM (Quick Access Toolbar - QAT).
- Haga clic en el botón de la Barra de Herramientas.
- Seleccione la opción Cerrar del menú.

La opción Cerrar sesión se encuentra disponible en el menú que aparece al hacer clic en el símbolo en la bandeja del sistema de Windows, o manteniendo pulsada la tecla de acceso directo F8. |
