One You can select and configure cameras for displaying in the Monitor interface window in two ways:

  1. Separately. The settings panel for of the Monitor object is in useused.
  2. As a package. The Add/Edit Camera Objects dialog box is in useused.
Info
titleNote
Order of selecting video cameras as a package to display in the Monitor interface box is described in Selecting and configuring video cameras as a package sectionin bulk.

To select video cameras on the settings panel of the Monitor object, do the following:

  1. Go to the List of cameras tab.
  2. To select all the cameras registered in the system, click the All button (1).

  3. To add a separate camera perform , configure the following settings in table (2):
    1. Select the number of the required camera in From the drop-down list of in the Number column, select the number of the required camera.
    2. As a result, the name of the selected camera is will be automatically displayed in the Camera column.
    3. If multistream mode has been selected for a is enabled for the camera, in the Video stream drop-down list, select the number of the video stream that you want to display in on the Monitor (4). If no stream is indicatedselected, the default stream is used.

      Info
      titleNote

Configuration of the Server video streams is described in the section Configuration of multistream video. The selected video stream is requested when receiving a video signal both from the Server and via the Videogate.

    4. By default, the Video Surveillance Monitor receives a video stream through the Server. If it is necessary to get the video stream not through a the Server, but directly from a the camera directly, in the Connection drop-down list, select Direct.
    5. If a video signal is needs to be groomed decimated for its transmitting transmission to the Client Monitor of the Client, then select the required frame rate of the video signal in from the drop-down list of in the fps column.

      Note
      titleAttention!

It is strongly not recommended to use additional grooming decimation and/or compression of the video signal which is signals displayed on the Server Monitor of a Server , as it will lead to the additional spending of the Server resources and deterioration of the video quality.

      Info
      titleNote
The selected fps FPS value is to should be less than the frame rate for of the video digitising by a video capture card. Otherwise, the frame rate of the video signal will be the same as the fps FPS of digitising.

      Info
      titleNote
For the correct grooming decimation of a video stream compressed with using the help of H.264 or MPEG4 codecs, the fps FPS value is to should be equal to key the frame rate of the key frames specified in the device settings (IP -cameracameras) or Intellect settings (see Configuring video compression section Key frame rate settings).

      Info
      title Note
Four streams for a chip are processed on SC300Q16 (FX4) video capture card. If the chip processes a stream without a signal (blue screen), then the total fps FPS is 10 (4 x 2,5fps5 FPS) for one chip.

    6. If video signal compression level is needs to be changed for transmitting transmission to the Client Monitor of the Client, select the required level of video signal compression in from the drop-down list of in the Compression column. Compression level is increased The compression level of the video signal increases from 0 (no compression) to 5 (maximum compression).

      Info
      titleNote
If the compression level is set for the Client, a the video signal on the Server is needs to be preliminary pre-decompressed, that results which will result in a great load increase on the CPU of the Server.

    7. To change the procedure algorithm of the video signal compression during displaying on the for transmission to the Client Monitor, select the required procedure algorithm of compression from the Compressor drop-down list. The If the compressor is selected, the value in the Compression list is to should be selected if the compressor is specifiedas well.

      Info
      titleNote

Compression Recompression of the video signal is performed at on the GateVideogate side.

    8. If the Monitor is to should receive live and archive video from the selected camera via the Gate Videogate object, then select the name of this object in from the drop-down list of in the Gate column.
    9. If a video archive from the selected camera is to should be transmitted to the Monitor from the Backup archive object, then select the name of this object in from the drop-down list of in the Backup archive column.

      Info
      titleNote
In case of the access to the Backup archive is performed through the Video gateVideogate, the specified value should coincide with the selected value for this video camera while when configuring the Video gate object – see the Videogate objectsee Selecting and configuring the cameras for the Backup archive sectionVideogate module.

    10. If the selected video camera is used for video archive viewing from the external edge storage, then select the required External storage Edge storage object in from the External Edge storage drop-down list.
    11. If the tansmission from the Backup archive object is performed via the Gate Videogate object, then select the name of this object in from the drop-down list of in the Gateway Videogate for Backup Archivearchive column.
    12. To enable smart search in the archive of the corresponding camera, select the VMDA metadata storage object corresponding to the VMDA trajectories tracks database intended to use be used for smart search from the VMDA metadata storage drop-down list.
    13. If there is a fisheye or anamorphic a panomorph lens on the camera (see Configuring fisheye cameras), then in the Display type drop-down list, select the way type of displaying video from the camera on in the viewing tileSurveillance window: virtual telemetry or panorama.

      Info
      titleNote

Conversion is enabled in the Video surveillance monitor when zooming-in (see Mouse PTZ control) or in the feature function menu of the Surveillance window (see Enabling fisheye).
