Fault tolerance and reliability

Micromodule architecture allows implementing different video management system functions as different operating system processes. Each function is the responsibility of a different micromodule; a dispatcher module monitors the performance of the micromodules. If any function fails and the process terminates unexpectedly, the dispatcher module automatically restarts the corresponding micromodule, so that its failure does not affect the performance of other processes or the overall operation of the VMS.

Axxon One supports on-board detection embedded in video cameras. This means that when on-board detection tools are triggered, Axxon One is notified and can use these events to drive system reactions. On-board detection does not create additional load on the video server processor and works with uncompressed video stream (completely bypassing the compressing/decompression process), and therefore provides extra stability in difficult conditions such as poor visibility.

Video footage management

Axxon One uses VMDA, a database developed by AxxonSoft to index and store the description of the observed scene. Along with video recording, this database allows to record in the archive the characteristics of all moving objects in the scene, and then use these characteristics to quickly search for video recordings according to specified criteria using MomentQuest technology

Still frames can be exported to JPG and PDF formats, videos can be exported to AVI, MP4, MKV and EXE. You can set additional options: export particular area, video duration, privacy mask, and user comment

IP device support

Drivers Pack

IP camera support in Axxon One is provided through the Drivers Pack module specially developed by AxxonSoft and regularly updated to support new IP devices.

Fish-eye cameras and ImmerVision lenses

Support for fish-eye cameras and ImmerVision lenses allows you to dewarp video from a fish-eye camera or a camera with an ImmerVision panomorphic lens to obtain several "normal" flat images with different aspect ratios for display on the client screen. One of the resulting virtual cameras can be a virtual PTZ unit.

ONVIF

AxxonSoft is a member of ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum), an organization dedicated to the development and promotion of international standards for network security and video surveillance system interfaces. ONVIF is supported in all versions of Drivers Pack starting with version 3.1.3

RTSP support

Many IP cameras support multimedia streaming via RTSP. Axxon One supports receiving such streams without the need to integrate a video camera via Drivers Pack

Analog cameras support

Along with IP cameras, Axxon One allows you to use analog cameras in a video surveillance system. Analog cameras are more affordable and are well-suited for many installations without high video resolution requirements. In addition, Axxon One allows you to create hybrid systems that combine both analog and IP cameras.

Remote access and integration

Mobile clients: access to video surveillance from iOS and Android devices.

Integration with third-party systems: Axxon One has features that allow you to receive and process event data from external devices and systems — POS terminals, access control systems, security control panels, third-party software, etc.

Downloads and licensing

The Axxon One installer includes both the client and server components. The client can be installed on a computer together with the server, or installed on a separate dedicated client workstation. There is no limit on the total number of servers and clients in a system.
