1. In the System Settings dialog window, open the Hardware tab (1).
2. Select the LPR channel, corresponding to the activated CARMEN-Auto program module in the objects tree on the Hardware tab (see Activating the program module, used for identifying the plates section).The settings panel of the selected object will open on the right side of the window (2).

3. Select one of the following value the required recognition engine from the Country list (3):

4. Arabic characters (7.2.8.16) - for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to Arabic countries.

5. China (7.2.7.79) - for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to China.

6. Guatemala (7.2.7.103) - for recognizing and identifying the plate's type corresponding to Guatemala.

7. Iran (Persian characters) (7.2.8.10) - for recognizing and identifying all Iran characters of the plates.
8. Iraq (7.2.8.24) - for recognizing and identifying the plate's type corresponding to Iraq.
9. Korea (7.2.7.68) - for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to Korea.
10. Latin characters (7.2.8.24) - for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to all European countries, including Russia.
11. Morocco (7.2.7.111) – for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to Morocco.
12. Mongolian characters (7.2.7.86) - for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to Mongolia.
Common characters (7.2.7.108) - for recognizing

. On default, only the cmanpr-7.2.7.108: general recognition engine used for recognizing all the Latin characters of the plates (for example, relevant to such counties as Argentina, India, Africa and Singapour) is created while installing the Auto-Intellect software package. The country recognition function is not used.

13. Common characters – quick (7.2.7.62) - for recognizing all the Latin characters of the plates in a rapid mode (for example, relevant to such counties as Argentina, India, Africa and Singapour). This value is a rapid variant of Common characters (7.2.7.108), but it is more sensitive to the quality of the image. Recommended to use only in optimal conditions as the recognition rate may decrease with a bad quality of the image.
14. Egypt (7.2.7.98) – for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to Egypt.
15. Pakistan (7.2.8.14) – for recognizing and identifying the plate's type corresponding to Pakistan.
16. USA (7.2.8.16 ) – for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to USA.
17. Philippines (7.2.7.114) – for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to Philippines.
18. Singapore (7.2.7.116) – for recognizing and identifying the plate's type corresponding to Singapore.
19. Taiwan (7.2.8.16) - for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to Taiwan.
20. Thai characters (7.2.7.92) - for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to Thailand.
21. South Africa (7.2.8.4) - for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to Republic of South Africa.
South America (7.2.7.116) - for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to countries of South America, such as Uruguay, Brasil, Chilie, Argentina, Paraguay

The countries recognition functional is realized in the Auto-Intellect PC only for Auto-Uragan, CARMEN-Auto, VIT, AxxonSoft and CARMEN-parking modules.

22. To add additional recognition engines download them from the web-site and install them using the EngineManager utility.

23. Click Apply (4).

Selecting the plates' identifying mode by CARMEN-Auto module is completed.
