Operations with the objects, added to the layer

The Map editor utility enables to carry out perform the following operations with the objects, added to the layer (see the table).

Edit map utility The Map editor utility enables to carry out perform the operations with a group of objects. For selecting the several objects it is necessary to hold the Ctrl key on the keyboard.

Editing the additional data and type of object’s displaying
Edit the additional data and type of object’s displaying as follows is done in the following way:
- Select an object that is to be edited. Green-pointed frame will appear around the image in as a result.
- Call for the Edit object dialog window of Edit map utility by the Map editor utility in one of the three ways:
- Carry out Perform the command of the main menu Operations with objects -> Edit object;
- Click Click the button on the toolbar;
- Carry out Perform the Edit command of the context menu (is called by right-clicking the right mouse button over the object’s image).
- The type of the selected object is automatically displayed in the Object field Object’s type(1).
- Identification number ID of the selected number object is automatically displayed in theIdentifier field Identifier(2).
If necessary change Change the type of object’s displaying with the help of the switch Displaying type when necessary (see the table Type of display switch (3).

Editing the additional data and type of object’s displaying is completed.
Editing the font, color, background or frame size of object’s name
Edit the font, color, background or frame size of object’s name as follows is done in the following way:
- Select object’s name which font should the font, color or background of which is to be edited. Green-pointed frame will appear around the image in result.as a result.
- Open the Properties panel (see Editing object properties using the Properties panel).
- Set х and у coordinates of the left upper corner of the text frame as well as frame's height and width (w and h) and clockwise rotation Angle (1).
- In the Color field select the object's name font color (2).
- In the Background color field select the object's name background color (3).
- Click ... in the Font field (4). The standard Windows Call for a standard Windows dialog window Font of the Map edit utility editor utility is opened. This dialog box can also be called by main menu command Operations with objects > Set the font
- In the opened dialog window set the required font or color parameters.
- Click Ok to save the changes.
Editing the font, color or background is overcompleted.
Editing the object’s size
Edit the object’s size as follows is done in the following way:
- Select the object which size should the size of which is to be edited. Green-pointed frame will appear around the image in as a result.
- Call for a the Object’s size dialog window of the Edit map utility by the main menu command Operations with objects > Object’s size.
Enter Specify the size of the image: fields Width (sign’s widthicon's width) and Height (sign’s icon’s height) fields – 1, 2. Sign’s Icon’s size is expressed in pixels.
Info title Note. If 0 value is entered in the fields Width and Height , object’s sign icon will be displayed in the original size. - Click
Click Ok to save the changes (3).
Editing the object’s size is completed.
Editing the position of object
Edit the object’s position of object with the help of the Position of object dialog window is done in the following wayas follows:
- Select the object , which position should the position of which is to be edited.
- Call for a dialog window the Position of object Of dialog window of the Map Edit utility by in one of the two ways:
- Perform the command of the main menu Operations with objects > Object’s position;
- Perform the command of the context menu Object’s position (is called by right-clicking
- the object’s image).
Set Enter the coordinates of the object’s center: fields X (horizontal indent from the left border of graphic plan) and Z (horizontal indent from the bottom border of graphic plan). To set the coordinates in pixels the switch should be set to In pixels position, to set the coordinates in meters – the switch should be set to In meters position) fields (1-2).
Info title Note. The In Meters switch position In Meters is actual in case, when set the is relevant when real parameters of the guarded object are set, to which this layer corresponds . (see. Creating the layers of the interactive map). Enter the angle in degrees of object’s image turn
onin the Angle
(degree)field. The angle is set counterclockwise from the contour line (3).
To save the
appliedchanges click OK (

In case when at least one coordinate oversteps the bounds of the map, the message window will be displayed. Click OK and then repeat step 3. |
Editing the object’s position with the help of Object’s position dialog window is completed.
The Map edit utility also enables to edit the object’s position with the help of the mouse.
To set the position of the symbolicon, click and hold the mouse on the symbolpoint and left-click it. Then drag the symbol icon to the desired location and release the mouse.
To rotate the symbolicon, click and release the mouse on the symbol. The symbol will be enclosed in a frame made of green dots. Click and hold the mouse on point and left-click it. Green-pointed frame will appear around the icon as a result. Point at one of the corner dots. A bended arrow will appear. Move the mouse in the desired direction to rotate the symbol and release the mouse.
Editing color and transparency (polygon and ellipsis)
Edit the color and transparency of objects added to the map as polygons and ellipsis as follows:
- Open the Properties panel (see Editing object properties using the Properties panel).
- In the dropdown list select the fill color of the polygon or ellipsis (1).
- Set the degree of transparency of the polygon or ellipsis in the normal state (2). The smaller the number, the higher the degree of transparency. 0 corresponds to full transparency, 255 - full opacity.
- In the dropdown list select the fill color of the polygon or ellipsis in case of alarm (3).
- Set the degree of transparency of the polygon or ellipsis in the alarm state (4). The smaller the number, the higher the degree of transparency. 0 corresponds to full transparency, 255 - full opacity.
- If the frame framing the polygon is to be hidden, then set the value to True in the Hide frame field (5).
Adding or removing apexes to polygon or polyline
Add apexes of object icon as follows:

- Call the context menu of the object icon by right-clicking and holding the Ctrl key in the polygon area or on the polyline.
- Select Add apex.
- Select the required position of a new apex and left-click.
- The apex will be added to the polygon or the polyline.
Apexes of object icon are now added.
To remove the apex, right-click it holding the Ctrl key and select Remove apex.
Setting order of displaying objects on map
The order of displaying object icons when they are laid over can be set. For this:
- Open the Properties panel of the required object (see Editing object properties using the Properties panel).
- Set the value of the Drawing order parameter. Icons with bigger value of this parameter will be displayed over icons with smaller value.
The order of displaying objects on map is now set.
Configuring object states displaying
By default if the object is in several states at the same time, the device icon changes according to these states in a short time, and when the object is selected on the map all its states are displayed as the thumbnails next to it (see Graphic objects on the Map section in Operator's Guide).
It is possible to disable displaying states thumbnails. For this:
- Open the Properties panel for the required object (see Editing object properties using the Properties panel).
- To disable the display of the thumbnails, select the True value in the Show states successively dropdown list. To enable their display, select the False value in this dropdown list.
The display of the state of objects is configured.
