  1. Installthe required version of Intellect on both Servers before consolidating them into cluster (see Installing and removing Intellect).
  2. Set the AxxonSoft\INTELLECT\IntellectRunService\InheritServiceEnvironment parameter with the value 1 in the registry.
  3. Stop the SQL Server (SQLEXPRESS) and ITV Intellect Core Server services on both Servers and switch them to the manual type of start.
  4. Start the Failover Cluster Manager on the one of Servers (or remotely).
  5. Select Act  Create cluster. The Cluster Creation Wizard will launch.
  6. Add both servers which are supposed to use for the failover cluster.
  7. Specify NetBios name and the IP address for the failover cluster (this data will be used for connection of the settings console).
  8. Complete the cluster creation.
  9. Configure the role on cluster. Select Add service  Generic Service in the High Availability Wizard.

  10. Select theITV Intellect Core Server service.
  11. Configure the NetBios name and the IP address for the service (these parameters will be used for connection to Intellect).
  12. Complete the role configuration.
  13. Set the dependence on the Name and the IP address on the Dependence tab in the service settings.
  14. Set the Use network name for computer name checkbox (regardless of the letter case in the cluster settings, the name will be transmitted in capital lettters) on the General tab.
  15. Go to the role settings and select Add service Generic Service.
  16. Select the SQL Server (SQLEXPRESS) service.
  17. Complete the adding of the service.
  18. Select the ITV Intellect Core Server service and perform Off the line action.
  19. Enter the Server, which is specified as the Owner unit. Disconnect the Intellect database in SQL, move the database files to the disk in the failover array and connect the database again.
  20. In the idb.exe, set the username and password for the database connection (see The idb.exe utility for converting databases, selecting database templates and making backup copies of databases).
  21. Start the Tweaki.exe and rename the computer to the name of the failover cluster (see Tweaki.exe utility for advanced setup of the Intellect software system).
  22. In the cluster settings, select Additional actions Replace primary cluster resources Select unit. Specify the second Server.
  23. In the SQL, disconnect the old databases and connect new databases from the disk in the failover array.
  24. Change the username and password for the database connection in the idb.exe.
  25. Start the ITV Intellect Core Server in the Failover Cluster Manager.
  26. Start Intellect. Make sure that the start is correct.
