A motion in the area detector is a tracker detector that operates VMDA detection tool that triggers when the object (objects) makes some actions in a virtual area that is in the camera coverageFOV.

To configure a motion in the area detector, do the following:

  1. Go to the the VMDA detection object settings panel for a VMDA detection object.
  2. Click the the Add area button  button (1).
  3. In the  the Video preview field  field (3), set , by the nodal points of the area one by one one by clicking the left mouse button, nodal points of the area which state is to be analysed. Only one area can be added. If there is an attempt to add a second area, the first one will be deleted.

      titleNote.

Detection of the following object types can be configured using scripts and registry keys: a human, group of humans (with a possibility to count number of people in a group), cara vehicle, noise, an object carried into the area, an object carried out of the area, other objects. See also CAM_VMDA_DETECTOR section  section of the the Programming Guide.

More precise objects classification can be performed using the neural filter (see Configuring the neural filter).

  6. To select a detector type, click the Image Removed symbolthe Image Added symbol. Available detector types are given below.:

    1. Image Added Any movement Image Removed Any motion in the area. Detector triggers due to any motion in the area.

    2. Image Removed Entrance into Image Added Entering the area. Detector triggers due to object’s entrance into the area.

    3.  Exit from Exiting the area. Detector triggers due to the exit of object from the area.

    4.  Appearance Appearance in the area. Detector triggers due to the object’s appearance in the area.

    5.  Disappearance from Disappearance in the area. Detector triggers due to the object’s disappearance from the area.

    6.  Stop Stop in the area. Detector triggers due to the object’s stop in the area.

    7. Presence Staying in the area for more than 10sec10 sec (i.e. loitering detection). Detector triggers due to the object’s precense presence in the area for more than 10sec10 sec. This period can be configured with LongInZoneTimeout registry key (see Registry keys reference guide).

    8. Abandoned itemobject. Detector triggers due to the item abandoned in the area.
