The Web-server module is used for viewing the video surveillance information in via a web browser using and the TCP/IP communication protocolenvironment.

Web-server partially provides some of the functions of an HTTP server, video transfer gate and HTTP control commandsa gateway for transmitting video signals and control commands via the HTTP protocol.

Web-server provides the following functionality of the HTTP server functionality:

  1. Access control through authorization.
  2. Working as a gate gateway for transferring video data streams using the HTTP/HTTPS protocol.
  3. Video monitoring and camera control through the a web browser using the TCP/IP environment.
  4. Control of camera movement PTZ devices through the a web browser using the TCP/IP environment.
  5. Setting the layout of the video frames on the screen Surveillance windows: 1, 4, 6, 9 windows per screen.
  6. Viewing the Server archives stored on the videoserver for each camera through the video surveillance Surveillance window.
  7. Limiting access rights permissions for viewing the video feed from the cameras, controlling the camera movement, cameras and viewing recordings from the videoserverServer archive.
  8. Displaying the video signal parameters (frame rate (fpsFPS) and frame size (kB) in the surveillance window Surveillance window.
  9. Listening to the audio signal from the microphones connected to the Cameras through a web browser.
Note
titleAttention!

Web-server displays only video in MJPEG format only. When video is transferred onto transmitted to the Web-server, the video stream is recompressed into MJPEG format on the Web-server performs video stream recompression and that causes side, which increases the traffic increment while when transmitting video onto to the Video surveillance monitor of the Web-server surveillance monitor.

The interface of the Web-server interface looks like a video surveillance monitor and is built as an HTML module is represented by the Video surveillance monitor. The Video surveillance monitor of the Web-server module is located on an html page. This html page is called the Web-server’s server home page. The surveillance monitor and control elements for the camera movement devices are driven by the Java applet.A Java applet is used to display the Video surveillance monitor in a web browser, as well as to control cameras and PTZ devices.

If Axxon PSIM is configured accordingly, the Web-server module requires user authorization when connecting. Access to camera monitoring and control of cameras and PTZ devices using the monitor of the Web-server module is determined Axxon PSIM software can be set up to require user authorization on entering the Web-server. Access to viewing and controlling the movement of the cameras through the Web-server is defined by the module settings.
