General information

The Email notifier object is used to configure the electronic messages, emails which then can be sent to the user when a macro or an automatic rule is triggeredinitiated.

To create the Email notifier objectcreate Email notifier, do the following:

1. In the list of

devices, click Create and select 

2. hardware, click Create...

3. From the drop-down list, select Email notifier.

the Apply button.
5. the Apply Image Added button.

As a result, The  E-mail notifier  object will appear appears in the list of deviceshardware.

To configure the Email notifier objectconfigure Email notifier, do the following:

1. In the list of
devices
2. hardware,
select the 
3. select Email notifier
 object which needs to be configured (1).

4. Activate the Email notifier object by selecting Yes in the Enable list (2).
5. In the Name field (3) enter the required name of the Email notifier object.
Select the mode for sending the Email notifications: through AxxonNet or through the specified SMTP Server (4)

7. In the Name field, enter the name of Email notifier.
8. In the Sending mode parameter, select the mode for sending email notifications:
   1. AxxonNet;
   2. SMTP server.

Configure the SMTP Server, if this mode was selected (5):

15. In the From parameter, enter the email address from which the messages are sent.

    title Attention!
    When using email notification, email servers can disable the user account or deny authentication in some cases. We recommend you to disable all security parameters in your email account beforehand.

16. In the Recipients parameter, enter one or several email addresses to which messages will be sent.

17. Specify the SMTP server settings:

    1. In the Username parameter, enter the name of the user account used to send messages on the outgoing mail server.
    2. In the Outgoing mail server parameter, enter the SMTP server of outgoing mail.
    3. In the Port parameter
18. In the Outgoing mail server field, enter the outgoing Email SMTP Server.
19. In the Password field, enter the password of the user account on the outgoing Email Server.

In the From field, enter the Email address from which the messages will be sent (6).

30. In the Recipients field (7), enter one or several Email addresses to which messages will be sent.

31. Click the Apply button.

Checking Email notification

To check the Email notification from the Email notifier objectemail notification via Email notifier, send a test message by clicking the Test the Test button.

When you do this, the following message will be sent to the Email email address specified in the the Recipients field  field (see Configuring the E-mail notifier objectsee Configuring Email notifier): "Test message".
