General information

You can filter the start of macros when a vehicle is recognized by specifying the following clarifying parameters:

ParameterValueMax valueDescription
Direction
0

Macro starts if a license plate is recognized when a vehicle is moving in an unspecified direction towards the camera

1

Macro starts if a license plate is recognized when a vehicle is approaching the camera

2

Macro starts if a license plate is recognized when a vehicle is moving away from the camera

SpeedKmph

Minimum speed value in km/h

Maximum speed value in km/h

Macro starts if a license plate is recognized when a vehicle is moving within the specified speed limits. The speed values must be in the range [0, 250]

SpeedMph

Minimum speed value in mph

Maximum speed value in mph

Macro starts if a license plate is recognized when a vehicle is moving within the specified speed limits. The speed values must be in the range [0, 155]

VehicleBrand

Vehicle manufacturer name (for example, Audi).

For the full list of possible manufacturers, see Functionality of License plate recognition RR

Macro starts if a vehicle of a certain manufacturer is recognized

VehicleColorVehicle color (for example, Black)

Macro starts if a vehicle of a certain color is recognized

VehicleModel

Vehicle model name (for example, A6).

For the full list of possible models, see Functionality of License plate recognition RR

Macro starts if a vehicle of a certain model is recognized

VehicleClass

[0, 16], where:

  • 0—Unknown (vehicles whose class could not be recognized);
  • 1—Car;
  • 2—Truck;
  • 3—Bus;
  • 4—Motorcycle;
  • 5—Light commercial vehicle;

Algorithm for setting the clarifying parameters

To set the parameters that specify the conditions for starting macros, do the following:

  1. In the Start conditions, select the license plate recognition or vehicle recognition event (see Configuring start conditions).
    Image Added
  2. Click the Image Added button under Start conditions. As a result, additional fields are displayed.
    Image Added
  3. In the Parameter field, specify the required parameter.

    Note
    titleAttention!

    The parameter value is case-sensitive.

  4. Depending on the parameter used, in the Value and Max value fields, set the range of values within which the macro starts.
  5. Set one or more actions to be performed (see Examples of macros).

  6. Click the Apply Image Added button.

The clarifying parameters are set.

Example of a license plate recognition when a vehicle is approaching the camera or moving away from it

You can configure a macro to initiate an alarm if a license plate is recognized when a vehicle is approaching or moving away from the camera. To configure this macro, you must first create and configure the License plate recognition RR detector (see Configuring License plate recognition RR).

Image Added

In this case, an alarm is initiated when a license plate is recognized while a vehicle is moving away from the camera.

Example with speed detection

You can configure a macro to initiate an alarm if a vehicle

Example for approaching the camera or moving away from it

You can configure a macro to trigger an alarm if a license plate number is recognized when approaching or moving away from the video camera. To configure this macro, you should first create and configure the license plate recognition (RR) detection tool (see Configuring License Plate Recognition RR).

Specify the following values:

  • Direction—in the Parameter (1) field, "1"—in the Value (2) field and "1"—in the Max value (3) field to trigger an alarm if a license plate number is recognized when approaching the video camera;
  • Direction—in the Parameter (1) field, "2"—in the Value (2) field and "2"—in the Max value (3) field to trigger an alarm if a license plate number is recognized when moving away from the video camera.

Example for speed determination

You can configure a macro to trigger an alarm if a license plate number is recognized at a certain vehicle speed.To configure this macro, you should must first create and configure the automatic number plate recognition detection tool (see Category: Vehicle Vehicle recognition RR detector (see Configuring Vehicle recognition RR).You should must also select the speed Speed detection value as km/h Kmph in the detection tool detector settings.
