To configure the failover service, configure a standby Server backup servers as follows:

1. Create the Failover service object under on the basis of the Computer object corresponding to the standby Server in backup server on the Hardware tab of the System settings box window.
   
2. Go to the settings panel for the Failover service object.
   
3. In From the Monitor PC drop-down list, select the name of the Computer object that is to be under controlthe connection with which must be controlled.
4. In the Wait for reconnection (s) field, specify the time period ( in seconds ) at the end of which after which the configuration is transferred to a standby Server when the Server the backup server since the server connection fails.

6. In the Objects table, specify the list of configuration objects (that are to of the main server that must be transferred to a standby Server the backup server if connection fails ) in one of the main Serverfollowing ways:
   
   1. Manually, one by one:
      

      1.  In  From the Type drop-down list, select the object type.

      1. Click the Range button. The Range box window is displayed.
         

      2. In From the drop-down list, select the object type.

      3. In the table, mark the required objects of this type. To mark several objects, hold the Ctrl key on the keyboard.

      4. Click the  button button to transfer move the selected objects to the list of the monitored objects under control. The list is on that is located in the right part of the Range box window.

      7. Click the Apply button.
7. Repeat steps 1—6 for all main Servers under control of a configured standby Server servers in the distributed system that will be controlled by the configured backup server.
