- Go to the LDAP Service object's settings panel.
In the Server field specify then name of the server on which the LDAP is started (1).
- In the Port field enter the number of the LDAP server port, specified in the previous step, designed to receive incoming connections (2).
- Select the version of the LDAP protocol being used from the Protocol dropdown list (3).
In the Basic DN field specify the unique identifier of the LDAP base entry that will be the first when the search for users starts (4).

- From the Request type drop-down list, select the type of user import (5):
- Users: only users are imported.
- Groups: only groups are imported.
- Users and groups: both groups and users are imported.
- Select the connection security method being used by the LDAP server from the Level dropdown list (6).
In the User field specify the unique name of the user with rights to access the LDAP address book (7). Intellect will access the LDAP address book under this username. Up to 255 characters.

Enter the user's LDAP address book password in the Password field (8).
Info title Note. The username and password should not be entered if the selected connection security method does not require them. - To save the settings, click the Apply button (9).
