To manually enter the exact values of the search area borders, do the following:

1. Open Go to the LPR channel settings panel. It is located on the Hardware tab of the System Settings dialog window object settings panel, corresponding to the activated module (see Activating the program module, used for identifying the plates section).
   
2. Check the Search area checkbox (1) to enable specifying the search area borders.
3. In the Left, Top, Right, and Bottom fields (2), specify the required values. These values correspond to the search area borders percentage of the full frame size.
4. Click Apply (3).

   To specify the search area borders using the mouse, do the following:

1. 1. Click the Image Modified (2) button. The Search area border, % window will appear. In this window, do the following:

   2. left-click and hold the mouse button on the video image at one of the corners of the supposed search area;
   3. keep the mouse button pressed and drag the pointer across the supposed search area to the opposite corner;
   4. release the mouse button;

   5. click the OK to save the selected area.

      With the use of VIT software module, you can specify search area borders of any shape.

      To specify non-rectangular search area borders, set the anchor points of the required shape with the left mouse button. After you set the last anchor point, click the right mouse button, and the shape will automatically close.

2. Click Apply (3).

The LP search area border is now set up.
