You can superimpose a text over video in the Camera camera window. This text will be visible to all users in all monitoring modes but will not be present on exported frames and videos.

To put a text over the camera window, do the following:

  1. Select a Camera object and click Image Removed Image Added.

    You cannot do it if the Image Removed Image Added button is depressed (see Privacy mask settings).

     For your convenience, you can click the Image Removed button the Image Added button and configure the mask on a still frame/snapshot. To undo, click this button again.


  2. Click any mouse button anywhere in FoV to set two anchor points Image Removed of Image Added of the rectangular area where the text will be displayed. The higher the area, the more the font size.

    To remove the area, click the Image Removed button Image Added button.


  3. Click Image Removed Image Added.
  4. Enter the

    desired text

    required text. By default, the name of the video camera is displayed.

    The text string has to fit the width of the area. If not, you cannot apply settings. For a longer text, make the area wider.


  5. Select a font color from the dropdown list.
  6. Click the OK button.
  7. If required, you can set multiple text areas in different parts of FoV.
  8. Click Apply.

(tick) Now, the text is superimposed over the video image.
