General information
This action starts an external program on your the computer that runs the Axxon One client.
The external program is started starts on all Clients clients that are connected to the domain.

The external program is not started on a doesn't start on the computer that is an Axxon One Server server, if the Client is not client isn't running on the computer when a macro is triggeredinitiated. |
Configuring an action
To configure the action, do the following:
- Go to the Programming tab.
- In the Event rules or Cycle rules list, click Create... (see Configuring macros).
- Select a start condition that triggers Configure the conditions to start
- a macro ( see Configuring filters for event-driven macros).On all Clients
- see Configuring start conditions).
- Click the button below start conditions.
- From the drop-down list, select General: Run external application on client.
- In the Path to file parameter, enter the path to the program's executable /run file (1)

In the Role parameter, select the role for users of
the (external) program (2).which the program will be run.
- In the Launch parameters parameter, specify the launch parametes if necessary You can also add command-line options (3)
- . When you start an external program, its work directory matches the one in which
- coincides with the directory where the executable file is located. If there is a file in the startup
- launch parameters and it is located in the directory with the program's
- executable file of the program, you do not
- don't need to specify the path to it.
