To search by license plates, do the following:
- Set a search interval (see Setting a search interval). Select
- From the Detection drop-down list, select the detector from the list
- , by
- the events from which you want to use as a search criterion.
In the Enter text field, enter the license plate that you want to find. You can enter either a full license plate or a part of it using the ? character (any character in the license plate) and the * character (any number of any characters in the license plate). For example, a search query ?20* shows all vehicles with license plates containing 2 and 0 in the second and third positions, respectively. License plates can contain any number of characters.

Model: enter - Select the Vehicle class from the drop-down list:
- Car;
- Truck;
- Bus;
- Motorcycle;
- Mini truck;
- Unknown.
- Vendor: enter the full name of the car manufacturer in Latin letters, case-insensitive. Correct spelling examples: Mitsubishi, Nissan, Hyundai.
In the Model field, enter the full name of the car model in numbers or Latin letters, case-insensitive. Correct spelling examples: Outlander, Teana, Creta, 406 (for Peugeot 406).

- In the Vendor field, enter the full name of the car manufacturer in Latin letters, case-insensitive. Correct spelling examples: Mitsubishi, Nissan, Hyundai.
- In the Color

This starts a search based on the selected criteria. The search results panel displays frames with vehicles whose license plates contain the text from the search query and also meet the specified additional parameters.
A recognized license plate is outlined with a red border in the Surveillance window.
