To configure create the Loitering In Areain area detector, do the following:

  1. Create the required
  2. detection tool
  3. detector and specify its parameters (
  4. see Creating detection tools
  5. see Configuring detectors and their sub-detectors).
  6. Below the created
  7. detection tool
  8. detector,
  9. click
  10. click Create…  Loitering
  11. In Area
  12. in area.

By default, the detection tool detector is enabled and triggers set to generate events when an object leaves the detection area after spending there some time there.

If necessary, you can change the detection tool detector parameters. The list of parameters is given in the table:

ParameterValueDescription

Event hold time (sec)2
Info
titleNote

The parameter is taken into account only if the the Trigger on group of objects parameter is enabled.

This is the time period during which the detection tool detector waits for the next objects after the first object in the group is detected. If the specified number of objects (specified in the Number of alarm objects parameter) are detected within this time period, the detection tool triggersdetector generates an event. If no additional objects are detected within the specified time period, the detection tool detector doesn't triggergenerate an event
Specify the time period in seconds when events will be held when responding to a group of objects. The value must be in the range [0, 86400]

Maximum object height100

Specify the maximum object height as a percentage of the frame size for the detection tool to triggerdetector to generate an event. The value must be in the range [0.05, 100]

Note
titleAttention!

The values of the maximum object height must be equal in the settings of the Object Tracker and Loitering In Areathe Object tracker and Loitering in area.

Maximum object speed500

Specify the maximum object speed per second for the detection tool to triggerdetector to generate an event. The value must be in the range [0, 500]

Info
titleNote
    In
  • In Axxon One, speed is a conditional value that is calculated using values of different dimensions. The speed calculation algorithm takes into account both the frame width and its height.
  • For a visual understanding of the speed values, we recommend specifying the speed when searching the archive (see Configuring minimum and maximum object speed).
Maximum object width100

Specify the maximum object width as a percentage of the frame size for the detection tool to triggerdetector to generate an event. The value must be in the range [0.05, 100]

Note
titleAttention!

The values of the maximum object width must be equal in the settings of the Object Tracker and Loitering In Areathe Object tracker and Loitering in area.

Minimum object height0.1

Specify the minimum object height as a percentage of the frame size for the detection tool to triggerdetector to generate an event. The value must be in the range [0.05, 100]

Note

Info
titleNote

The parameter is taken into account only if the the Trigger on group of objects parameter is enabled.

This number determines the minimum number of objects that are considered a group and can cause the detection tool triggeringgenerate an event
Specify the number of objects that can cause the detection tool triggeringdetector to generate an event. The value must be in the range [1, 100]

Time detection modeSpecified timeThe detection tool will trigger detector generates an event after the object leaves the area after spending there the time specified in the Event duration to trigger detection (sec) parameter (default value)
Longer than specified timeThe detection tool will trigger detector generates an event after the object leaves the area after spending there more time than specified in the Event duration to trigger detection (sec) parameter. If an event has already been generated and the track is still in the area after an event, the event won't be generated again until the track leaves the area and enters it again
Shorter than specified timeThe detection tool will trigger detector generates an event after the object leaves the area after spending there less time than specified in the the Event duration to trigger detection (sec) parameter
Trigger on group of objectsYes

The parameter is disabled by default. If you want the detection tool to trigger detector to generate an event only for a group of objects, select the Yes value

Info

  • The group of objects that must cause the
  • detection tool to trigger
  • detector to generate an event is specified in the Object class parameter.
  • The number of objects that
  • is
  • are considered a group is specified in the Number of alarm objects parameter.
  • Waiting time for the next objects after the first object from the group is detected is specified in the Event hold time (sec) parameter.

For example, you select the Person object class, the Number of alarm objects is 2 3, the Event hold time (sec) is 2 seconds, and the Trigger on group of objects parameter is enabled. If the detection tool detector detects the first person and detects the others within two seconds, these people are considered a group and the detection tool will triggerdetector generates an event

By default, the entire frame is the a detection area. In If necessary, in the preview window, you can specify reduce the detection areas using the anchor points Image Removed (see Configuring the Detection Zonearea (see Configuring a detection area) and/or set one or more skip areas (see Configuring a skip area).

Info

  • For convenience of configuration, you can "freeze" the frame. Click the Image Modified button. To cancel the action, click this button again.
  • The detection area is displayed by default. To hide it, click the Image Modified button. To cancel the action, click this button again.

To save the parameters of the detection tooldetector, click the Apply Image Modified button button. To cancel the changes, click the Cancel Image Modified button button.

Configuration of the Loitering in area detector is complete.
