The timeline is a graphical representation of the time axis of the archive and is located in the middle part of the navigation panel. To display a timeline on the navigation panel, you must switch to the Archive mode of the selected camera (see Switching to the Archive mode).

Tracks are marked in different colors depending on the archive status:

Pre-alarm recordings are white on the timeline, post-alarm recordings are blue.

A track can be replaced by another track when they match in time. The following priority system is used:

  1. If there is a video in the archive, then a red track has the highest priority and a white track has the least priority.
  2. A blue track has a higher priority than a white track.

Deleting an archive fragment

You can delete an archive fragment using the timeline. To do this, you need to:

  • You cannot restore deleted videos.
  • If you select multiple archives for viewing (see Viewing combined archive), videos are deleted from all archives.
  1. Open the required layout (see Selection and Slideshow of Layouts).
  2. Select the required camera.
  3. Switch to the archive mode (see Switching to the Archive mode).
  4. On the timeline, select the interval to delete an archive fragment:
    1. Place the timeline pointer at the beginning of the interval.
    2. Click the Image Added button.
    3. Scroll the timeline and place the pointer at the end of the interval.
    4. Click the Image Added button.
  5. Click the Image Added button.
  6. Click the Image Added button.

  7. Click the Delete fragment button.
  8. In the window that opens, set the parameter settings, which are specified in the table:

    Start[date], [month], [year], [hours], [minutes], [seconds]

    By default, the interval selected on the timeline is displayed. If necessary, you can change the date and time to delete an archive fragment

    When you change the time range in the timeline or in the advanced navigation panel, the date and time values are updated automatically in the opened dialog window.

    If you switch to the archive by one camera, the archive fragment of the selected camera is deleted. You can also select multiple or all cameras; for this you need to:

    1. Open the required layout (see Selection and Slideshow of Layouts).
    2. Switch to the archive mode (see Switching to the Archive mode).
    3. Click the Archive panel button.
    4. On the timeline, select the interval to delete an archive fragment
  9. Click the Image Added button.
  10. In the warning window that opens, click the Image Added button again.
