AxxonData is a local version of the AxxonNet cloud service AxxonNet. AxxonData and it is used to work in local networks only. AxxonData is compatible with Axxon NextOneversion 4.4.2 or higher.

The local version of AxxonNet cannot be installed together with Intellect, because the CassiniService service is started during Intellect installation. This service runs on port 8081, the same port as the nginx service of the local version of AxxonNet.

You can install local cloud on port 80 or port 8082 using the HTTP protocol.

  • If port 80 is free, then local cloud will be installed on it. In this case, in order to access the cloud via web and add servers to it, it is necessary to provide access to port 80 from devices with installed AxxonData.
  • If port 80 is occupied, then local cloud will be installed on port 8082. In this case, it is necessary to provide public access to two ports: 8082 and 8888.

AxxonData is incompatible with the Failover Server and Client installation type of Axxon Next.

  • If Axxon One of the Failover server and client installation type is installed on your computer, you must allocate a separate computer to install AxxonData. You cannot install AxxonData together with Axxon One of the Failover server and client installation type.

  • Before installing AxxonData, read the information in the Comment column in Ports used for AxxonData operation.

To install AxxonData, do the followingPerform the installation as follows:

  2. Run the AxxonData installer as Administrator.

      If the version of AxxonData is lower than 3.15, the default installation is performed on port 80 when you use the HTTP access protocol. In this case, to web access AxxonData and add Servers to it, you must open port 80 from Client devices or from the connected Axxon One Server. If port 80 is busy (for example, if the Axxon One Server is running at the time of installation), you will be prompted to use port 8082.

  17. Click Next. A window with a selection of components to install opens:

  18. If you release port 80 (for example, by changing the port of the Axxon Next Web server), then AxxonData will be installed on port 80.

  19. Set the checkboxes next to the components that you want to install. We recommend installing all components.
  20. Click Next.
  21. Select the folder from the Start menu. By default, it is AxxonData:

Installation of AxxonData is complete. After installation, the AxxonData shortcut will be created on the desktop. Installation logs will be available in the C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp folder, the product logs will logs will be available in the Cthe C:\ProgramData\AxxonSoft\AxxonData or Cand C:\ProgramData\AxxonSoft\AxxonNet folder.

After installation, the AxxonData shortcut will be created on the desktop.

Client installation type

Perform the configuration as follows:

On all Axxon Domain Servers where AxxonData is not installed, in the hosts file (C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc) specify the IP address of the installed local AxxonData Server: vmscloud.local.

To configure the local Client installation type, do the following:

  1. On the computer

Updating AxxonData

To update AxxonData, do the following:

  1. Download the distribution kit of a new version of AxxonData using the link.
  2. Run the installer of a new version of AxxonData as Administrator. You don't need to uninstall the prevous version.
  3. Perform the installation. The steps repeat the installation procedure (see Installation of AxxonData).
  4. Set the checkboxes next to the components that you want to install:

    1. If you want to update only AxxonData and PostgreSQL 10:
      1. Set the Local cloud & Reports components checkbox.
      2. Click Next.
      3. In the window that opens, click Yes:

        A window opens to confirm the installation of the selected components of AxxonData:

    2. If necessary, update the parameters of the SMTP server and depth of event storage:
      1. Set the SMTP server and events depth parameters checkbox.
      2. Click Next.
  5. Click Install:

    Installation of AxxonData and PostgreSQL 10 starts.
  6. Update the SMTP server parameters (see Updating the parameters of the SMTP server).
  7. Click Next.
  8. Update the depth of event storage in days. By default, it is 60 days.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Click Finish and restart the computer.

Updating AxxonData is complete.

Updating the parameters of the SMTP server 

To update the parameters of the SMTP server, do the following:

  1. Run the AxxonData installer as Administrator.
  2. Perform the installation. The steps repeat the installation procedure (see Installation of AxxonData).
  3. Set the SMTP server and events depth parameters checkbox:

  5. In the window that opens, click Yes:

  7. Specify the SMTP server parameters:
    1. In the Server address field, enter the SMTP server for outgoing mail.

To ensure the correct operation of the reports, the data transfer rate with the Axxon Next Server should be at least 300 kbps.

Updating the parameters of the SMTP server is complete.

Deleting AxxonData

To delete AxxonData, do the following:

  1. Go to StartControl PanelPrograms and Features.
  2. In the list of installed programs, find AxxonData and right-click it.
  3. In the context menu, select Uninstall.
  4. In the window that opens, click Yes. The process of uninstalling AxxonData starts.
  5. In the window that opens, click OK.
  6. In the list of installed programs, find PostgreSQL 10 and right-click it.
  7. In the context menu, select Uninstall/Change.
  8. In the window that opens, set the Entire application checkbox and click Next. The process of uninstalling PostgreSQL 10 starts.
  9. In the window that opens, click OK.
  10. Delete the C:\Program Files\AxxonSoft\AxxonData\pg folder.
  11. Delete the C:\Program Files\AxxonSoft\AxxonData folder.
  12. If you cannot delete the C:\Program Files\AxxonSoft\AxxonData\pg and C:\Program Files\AxxonSoft\AxxonData folders, then:
    1. Go to StartTask ManagerProcesses.
    2. Make sure that AxxonData, nginx, and nats-streaming-server processes aren't present, otherwise delete them.
    3. Go to StartTask ManagerServices.
    4. Make sure that AxxonData, Reports, nats-streaming-serverpostgresql-10-ac and exporter processes aren't present, otherwise delete them.
      1. Open a command line as administrator.
      2. Enter the commands to delete the services one by one:

  13. After deleting all dependencies in processes and services, you must delete the C:\Program Files\AxxonSoft\AxxonData folder manually.
