You can locate place several graphical plans of guarded objects on one interactive Mapprotected facilities in one window of the interactive map. Each graphical plan is represented by a the Layer object.

Create and configure the Layer object as follows:

  1. Go to the Interfaces tab of the System settings dialog box window (1).
  2. Create a the Layer object under on the basis of the Map object or select the existing Layer object in the objects tree in the Interfaces tab of the System settings dialog box tree (2).
  3. Specify the ID and name for of the Layer object, and select the Map object to become on the parent basis of which you want to create the Layer object (3).
  4. To edit the image represented by the Layergraphical plan of the protected facility, click the the Edit layer button (4). The Map editor utility will open allowing the graphical image to be edited, in which you can edit the graphical plan of the protected facility (layer).

    When the Map editor utility is started, then the the System settings dialog box window is inactive. Close the the Map editor utility to continue working with the System settings dialog boxwindow
    You cannot start the Map editor utility for several layers.


  5. To display this layer on top of all other layers, click the Activate on map button (5).
  6. To save all the changes, click the the Apply button (6).

After you create and configure a new layer is created and configured, , you must attach a graphical image plan of the area is to be attached to it, or the layer background color is to be selected, or the map server is to be selected to use external map as a background. These types of background are mutually exclusive, i.e. only one of them can be in use at one timeprotected facility to the created layer, select the background color for the layer, or select a map server to be used as a background for an external map. These types of backgrounds are mutually exclusive, you can select only one of them. For example, if the you select a file or an external map is selected, then the background color will not be applied.


Attach the image graphical plan of the protected facility or select the background color as follows:

  1. Go to the settings panel of the Layer object.
  2. Open the Map editor application utility and click the Edit layer button.

    To open the Map editor, click the Edit layer button on the

    panel of the Layer object

  3. In the main menu of the Map editor utility, select Map -> General settings.


    As a result, the dialog box to select the image window will open, in which you can select a graphical file used as a graphical plan of the guarded area will openprotected facility.

    This dialog box can also be accessed from the Set background item of the You can open the panel for attaching a graphical plan of the protected facility from the context menu of the map areawindow by selecting the Set background item.


  4. Select the graphical file as a background file as follows:

    1. Press Click the  button in the Settings dialog boxwindow.

      As a result, the standard dialog box to select the image used as a graphical plan of the guarded area will open.

    2. In the Width and Height fields, specify the resolution of the image used as a graphical plan of the guarded areaselected file in pixels. The values specified in the the Width and Height fields are must correspond to match the real resolution of the image selected file.


  5. Set Select the layer background as follows:

    1. Clear  In the Settings dialog window, clear the File field in the Settings dialog box.


    2. Select From the required background color in the Background color dropdown list. drop-down list, select the background color.

      The background color will be applied only after shutting down the you close the Map editor utility window and opening it once again.


  6. To select an external map as a background, select the previously created and configured Map Server object from the Background server drop-down list (see Configuring the external Map server).

    If you select an external map is selected as a background, the layer is automatically binded to the geographical coordinates (see also Configuring map binding to coordinate grid).

     

  7. To apply all the changes, click the the OK button in the Settings dialog boxwindow.The
