To configure create the Stop In Areain area detector, do the following:
- Create the required
detection tool - detector and specify its parameters (
see - see Configuring detectors and their sub-detectors).
- Below the created
detection tool- detector,
click - click Create… → Stop
In Area- in area.
By default, the detection tool detector is enabled and set to generate events when an object stops moving in the area and remains stationary for a specified time.
Info |
---|
|
Slight shaking of an object is allowed. |
If necessary, you can change the detection tool detector parameters. The list of parameters is given in the table:
Parameter | Value | Description |
---|
Other |
Enable | Yes | The detection tool detector is enabled by default. To disable the detection tooldetector, select the the No value value |
No |
Name | Stop In Areain area | Enter the detection tool detector name or leave the default name |
Event hold time (sec) | 2 | Info |
---|
| The parameter is taken into account only if the the Trigger on group of objects parameter parameter is enabled. | This is the time period during which the detection tool detector waits for the next objects after the first object in the group is detected. If the specified number of objects (specified in the the Number of alarm objects parameter parameter) are detected within this time period, the detection tool detector generates an event. If no additional objects are detected within the specified time period, the detection tool detector doesn't generate an event. Specify the time period in seconds when events will be held when responding to a group of objects. The value must be in the range [0, 86400] |

Advanced settings |
X-axis offset | 15 | Specify the X-axis and Y-axis offsets as a percentage of the track area to receive to receive events from the specified area. The values must be in the range range [1, 40] |
Y-axis offset | 10 |
Basic settings |
Maximum object height | 100 | Specify the maximum object height as a percentage of the frame size for the detection tool detector to generate an event. The value must be in the range [0.05, 100] Note |
---|
| The values of the maximum object height must be equal in the settings of the Object Tracker and Stop In Areathe Object tracker and Stop in area. |
|
Maximum object width | 100 | Specify the maximum object width as a percentage of the frame size for the detection tool detector to generate an event. The value must be in the range [0.05, 100] Note |
---|
| The values of the maximum object width must be equal in the settings of the Object Tracker and Stop In Areathe Object tracker and Stop in area. |
|
Minimum object height | 0.1 | Specify the minimum object height as a percentage of the frame size for the detection tool detector to generate an event. The value must be in the range [0.05, 100] Note |
---|
| The values of the minimum object height must be equal in the settings of the Object Tracker and Stop In Areathe Object tracker and Stop in area. |
|
Minimum object width | 0.1 | Specify the minimum object width as a percentage of the frame size for the detection tool detector to generate an event. The value must be in the range [0.05, 100] Note |
---|
| The values of the minimum object width must be equal in the settings of the Object Tracker and Stop In Areathe Object tracker and Stop in area. |
|
Number of alarm objects | 2 | Info |
---|
| The parameter is taken into account only if the the Trigger on group of objects parameter parameter is enabled. | This number determines the minimum number of objects that are considered a group and can generate an event. Specify the number of objects that can cause the detection tool detector to generate an event. The value must be in the range [1, 100] |
Object class | All classes | Select the object class that must generate an event. The default value is is All classes Info |

| - When you create the Stop
In Area detection tool below the Object Tracker- in area detector as a child object of the Object tracker and select
the - the Person
value- value, there won't be any events if the tracker detects the movement of several people nearby.
- When you create the Stop
In Area detection tool below - in area detector as a child object of the Category: Face
and - and Category: Vehicle
detection tools, the - detectors, the Object class
parameter - parameter must have
the - the All classes
value- value.

Vehicle |
Person |
Stop in area duration | 0 | Specify the time in seconds during which the object is stationary for the detection tool detector to generate an event. The value must be in the range [0, 3600] Note |
---|
| - The value of this parameter must be less than the value of the Time of object in DB parameter in the settings of the Object
Tracker - tracker (see Configuring the Object
Tracker- tracker).
- If the
detection tool - detector uses the metadata from the Motion
detection - detector (see Configuring the Motion
detection- detector), the value of the Stop in area duration parameter must be 0. Otherwise, the
detection tool - detector won't work.

|
Trigger on group of objects | Yes | The parameter is disabled by default. If you want the detection tool detector to generate an event only for a group of objects, select the the Yes value value Info |
---|
| - The group of objects that must cause the
detection tool - detector to generate an event is specified in
the - the Object class
parameter- parameter.
- The number of objects that
is - are considered a group is specified in the
- Number of alarm objects parameter.
- Waiting time for the next objects after the first object from the group is detected is specified in
the - the Event hold time (sec) parameter.
For example, you select the the Person object object class, the Number of alarm objects is is 3, the Event hold time (sec) is is 2 seconds seconds, and the the Trigger on group of objects parameter is enabled. If the detection tool detector detects the first person and detects the others within two seconds, these people are considered a group, and the detection tool detector generates an event. |
