The LPR channel can operate together with the main motion detector of Axxon PSIM. This helps decrease the CPU load.

|
This setting is set only when using the following program modules: AUTO-Uragan, CARMEN-Auto, ARH-Railway, VIT, or LPR IntelliVision. |
If the LPR channel works in conjunction with the Axxon PSIM main motion detector, it scans the video image for LP numbers when the motion detector is in an alarmed state, i.e. some motion is detected in the camera FOV.
Info |

|
When the main motion detector is not alarmed, the LPR channel does not scan the video image to find and recognize the LP numbers. |
If the joint operation is disabled, the LRP channel scans each incoming frame.

In Auto PSIM, you can configure LP recognition by macros and motion detection. To do this, do the following:
- Go to the
LPR channel object settings panel- settings panel of the LPR channel object, corresponding to the activated
module - module (
see - see Activating the software module used for identifying the plates).
Image Modified
Check - From the Enable on drop-down list (1), select:
- Disabled—license plate recognition by macros or motion detection is disabled (by default). The LPR channel scans each incoming frame;
- Motion detection— license plate recognition by motion detection is enabled. It is used to reduce the load on the Server;
- Macros—license plate recognition by macros is enabled. When you select this option, the Entrance and Exit drop-down lists become available.
- from the Entrance drop-down list, select a macro that starts license plate recognition;
- from the Exit drop-down list, select a macro that stops license plate recognition.
Image Added
- motion detection trigger checkbox (1).Click the Apply button (2) .
...
- to save the settings.
Setting up LP recognition by macros and motion detection is complete.

|
- LP recognition by motion detection is implemented only in the AUTO-Uragan, AR-Auto, AR-Railway, VT modules.
- When you enable license plate recognition by motion detection, the LPR channel scans the video image only when the main motion detection of Axxon PSIM is in the Alarm state (when motion is detected in the camera’s FOV). If the main motion detection isn’t alarmed, the LPR channel doesn’t scan video images to recognize vehicle license plates.
