Activating the license for the PPE detection Equipment detector VL in Linux OS

To configure the PPE detection Equipment detector VL, do the following:

  1. Go to the
  2.  Detection Tools tab
  3.  Detectors tab.
  4. Below the required camera,
  5. click
  6. click Create…  Category: Other
  7. PPE detection
  8. Equipment detectorVL.

By default, the detection tool detector is enabled and set to detect people who enter or stay in the protected area without the necessary equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).

If necessary, you can change the detection tool detector parameters. The list of parameters is given in the table:

ParameterValueDescription
Object features
Record objects trackingYesThe metadata is recorded to the database by default. To disable the parameter, select the the No value value
No
Video streamMain streamIf the camera supports multistreaming, select the stream for which detection is needed

EnableYesThe detection tool detector is enabled by default. To disable the detection tooldetector, select the the No value value
No

Decoder modeAutoSelect a processing resource for decoding video streams. When you select a GPU, a stand-alone graphics card takes priority (when decoding with NVIDIA NVDEC chips). If there is no appropriate GPU, the decoding will use the Intel Quick Sync Video technology. Otherwise, CPU resources will be used for decoding

Minimum authenticity threshold 90Specify the minimum level of recognition accuracy for creating a track. You must select the appropriate value empirically. The higher the value, the fewer objects will be detected, but at the same time the recognition quality will be higher. The value must be in the range [1, 100]
ModeCPU

Select a processor for the neural network operation (seeHardware requirements for neural analytics operation, Selecting Nvidia GPU when configuring detectors).

Nvidia GPU 3
Number of frames processed per second1

Specify the number of frames that the neural network will process per second. If the detection tool detector recreates the track for the same object, which leads to incorrect counting, increasing the value can help eliminate false positives. The higher the value, the more accurate the tracking, but the higher the CPU load.   The value must be in the range range [0.016; 100].

Note

To operate the detection in a "gateway", we recommend using the standard settings of the detection tooldetector: 1 FPS  FPS and 10 FPS  FPS for output (see Functions of the PPE detection Equipment detector VL).

Number of measurements in a row to trigger detection10Specify the minimum number of frames with a violation for the detection tool detector to generate an event. The value must be in the range [2, 50]
One detection per trackYesBy default, the detection tool detector generates an event for each element of equipment once per track existence. If you want the detection tool detector to generate an event for each equipment violation, select the No value
No

By default, the entire frame is the detection area. In the preview windowIf necessary, you can specify reduce the rectangular detection areas area in the preview window using the anchor points points Image Modified (see Configuring a detection area).

titleNote
  • For convenience of configuration, you can "freeze" the frame. Click the Image Modified button. To cancel the action, click this button again.
  • To hide detection area, click the Image Modified button. To cancel the action, click this button again.

To save the parameters of the detection tooldetector, click the Apply Image Modified button. To cancel the changes, click the Cancel Image Modified button.

The PPE detection VL The Equipment detector VL will generate an event when a person is in the frame without the necessary equipment and personal protective equipment on the specified parts of the body or when equipment and personal protective equipment is improperly is improperly applied.
