To configure embedded detectors, do the following:

  1. Go to the settings panel for the Embedded detector object.
  2. In the id in device terms field the detector code in the device is specified (camera, card) (1). It is recommended to leave this field unchanged for proper operation of the detector.
  3. Set the Generate alarm on the camera checkbox if the alarm is to be generated on the camera by detector’s response (2).

    Note.

The alarm triggers on the embedded detection tool instead of the camera when the camera is disarmed.

Furthermore, the alarm triggers neither on camera nor embedded detection for metadata events intended for the Tracker (see Creating and configuring the Tracker object).

  4. Set the Show events on screen checkbox if it is necessary to display tracks from the built-in detection tool regardless of the corresponding settings of the Tracker object (3). This setting is only applied for embedded detection tools that are in use for  AxxonSoft tracking in Axis devices.
  5. Click the Apply button to save the changes (4).

If the embedded detector sends any metadata to Intellect (for example, a thermal camera detector sends body temperature data when a face is detected), the DETECTED event from the CAM_IP_DETECTOR object is generated in the system containing this data in a string format. Further processing of the obtained data is carried out using scripts.

In the case of a thermal camera, there is also a TEMPERATURE_ALARM event from the CAM object displayed in the Event Viewer with the temperature value. The temperature threshold is set in the thermal camera web interface. Furthermore, the processing of obtained body temperature data is also implemented in Face-Intellect software (see the Face-Intellect Administrator Guide in AxxonSoft documentation repository for more details about this function).

Embedded detectors are now configured.
