The requirements for cameras that will work with the Fire detection and Smoke detection modules are shown in the following table.

Camera

  • Resolution should be at least 640x480 pixels
  • Number of frames: the response rate of the detection module depends on the number of frames per second, by default, it is 1 per every 10 seconds (in most cases, it is enough to detect a fire/smoke that lasts more than 1 minute)
  • It is recommended to use color cameras. With black and white cameras, the recognition quality may be much worse

Object images

  • The area of fire/smoke should be at least 10% of the frame area
Lightning
  • Fire/smoke should be visually separated from the background.

The hardware and software requirements are shown in the following table.

CPU

Intel Core and Intel Xeon 6-8 generations and Intel Pentium® N4200/5, N3350/5, or N3450/5 with Intel® HD Graphics https://software.intel.com/en-us/openvino-toolkit/hardware.

GPU

NVidia GPUs and Intel® HD Graphics are supported.

CPU resources and neural network accelerators based on Intel Myriad X processors, for example, Intel NCS and Intel HDDL, can be used.

Video card requirements:

  • at least 2 GB of memory;
  • support for Compute Capability 3.0 and higher. You can check the version of Compute Capability of the video card on the manufacturer’s page
  • No labels
