Configure the options for handling events in the Operator protocol as follows:
- Go to the Operator protocol object settings panel.
- In the Chief interfaces list (1) set the checkboxes checked next to Operator protocol objects to which events are to be sent when the specified time period expires.
- In the Map drop-down list (2) select the previously created Map object for event monitoring.
From the Video drop-down list (3), select the method of the video displaying from the operator’s protocol:
ActiveX – archive and live video will open in a separate window.
Monitor – archive and live video will open on the selected Video Surveillance Monitor. In this case the Video Surveillance Monitor will operate in Active camera mode regardless of the corresponding setting – see Configuring the display mode of camera windows.
- In the Wait for the operator response___minutes field (4) specify the time period at the end of which an event will have the Non-processed event type or it will be escalated. Time period is set in minutes – non-integer values can be set (use the decimal point to separate integer and fractional parts). For instance, specify 0.5 to set the waiting period for response equal to 30 seconds. The maximum period is 10000 minutes.
In the Store___events field (5), set the maximum of events displayed in the Operator protocol interface box.
Important!
The number of events displayed in the Operator protocol interface box affects the main memory capacity. If 100 non-processed events are displayed in the interface box, then the Operator protocol module can use up to 200 Mb of main memory. When the value of the Store___events parameter is increased, the main memory capacity is increased too.- If the decision on the event classification is to be delayed once for the operator, then in the Delay decision making for___minutes field (6) specify the time period (in minutes) for which the event procession will be delayed. The time period is specified in minutes, though non-integer values can be set - in this case the dot is used to separate integer and non-integer parts of the number. For instance, to delay decision making for 15 seconds 0.25 is to be specified in the field.
- If events are to be sorted by priority (not by time they are received) in the Operator protocol, then set the Sort by priority checkbox (7). The descending sorting is performed in this order: Escalated, Alarm, Information and Standard (three latest event parameters can be set in the DDI file - see The Events tab). Inside these groups the sorting is performed according to the priority assigned in the Objects table (see 18.h).
- Set the New events at the end checkbox (8) if new events are to be added to the end of the list of current events.
- If after processing an event in one of Operator protocols it is to be removed from other Operator protocols, then set the Close elsewhere checkbox (9).
- If the processing of all events is to be confirmed with a password, set the Password for closing checkbox (10).
- If autoswitch to the Current events tab when a new event occurs is to be performed in the Operator protocol, then set the Autoswitch checkbox (11).
If it is necessary to automatically activate the last received event, set the Autoactivation of last event checkbox (12).
- If it is necessary to hide the buttons for handling events when selecting a group of events, set the Hide buttons for groups checkbox (13).
By default, the comment entered by the operator when assigning a type to an event, is not deleted. If it is necessary to clear the comment field after processing the event, set the Clear comment checkbox (14).
By default, the alarms are displayed in the Operator Protocol window as the tiles of a specified size. If it is necessary to enlarge the alarm tile to the entire window size (except for the event control panel), set the Fit window size checkbox (15).
If it is necessary to prohibit the Operator from processing all alarms at once, set the Hide "Apply to all" checkbox (16).
- If the Operator protocol interface window is to be displayed on top of all other windows, set the Over all windows checkbox (17).
- To prevent the Operator from processing the event without entering a comment, set the Comment required checkbox (18). The buttons for classifying events (Alarm situation, Suspicious situation, False alarm) will not appear until the Comment field is filled if this checkbox is set.
- If it is necessary to prohibit the Operator from selecting multiple events using the Shift and Ctrl keys, set the Single selection checkbox (19).
- Click Apply to save changes (20).
The options for handling events in the Operator protocol are now configured.
