When you use multilayer interactive maps in Axxon PSIM, you can set rules for moving to the layers containing objects that generate an alarm.
Ways of how you can search the layer from whose object an alarm signal occurs:
To display the map window over all interface windows, set the Over all windows when alarm checkbox (1) and click Apply in the settings panel of the Map object. After you set the checkbox, the map window is displayed over all active windows if the Alarm event occurs on the objects located on the graphic map.
Note
If the map has multiple layers, this setting will only work for the active layer.
Example 1: layer 1 is active, alarm occurs on layer 2. Map isn't displayed over all windows.
Example 2: layer 2 is active, alarm occurs on layer 2. Map is displayed over all windows.
If you want to display a map over all windows regardless of the active layer, enable Autoswitch (described below). For more details, see point 8 on the page The settings panel of the Map object.
To automatically switch to the layer with the Alarm source object, set the Autoswitch checkbox (2) and click the Apply button. As a result, the layer with an alarm object will be activated when the Alarm event occurs.
When you use multilayer maps, you must specify sequential links to other layers to be able to move from the active layer to any other layer of the map. If the above condition is met, you can use recursive links when the Alarm event occurs on one of the layers. To enable recursive search of the layer with the registered Alarm event, set the Search alarmed links recursively checkbox (3) and click Apply in the settings panel of the Map interface object. If there are many layers, you can limit the Search depth for links across layers by specifying the required value in the field (4):
The recursive search of objects on the map is a type of search where you can switch to the layer with an alarm from the layer where the indicator is located by moving sequentially to adjacent layers with the help of sequential links. If the Search for the shortest path checkbox is set (5), the shortest possible path to the layer with an alarm will be automatically selected.
Example
The first layer contains the indicator only on the second layer, and the second layer contains the indicator on the third layer. The first layer is currently active. The Alarm signal occurs on the third layer. If the recursive search mode is enabled, the indicator on the first layer will blink to the second layer, and from the second layer to the third one. If the recursive search is disabled, the indicator will blink from the second layer to the third layer, not allowing you to monitor the Alarm signal on the first layer.
Example
The first layer contains the indicators on the second and the third layers, and the second layer contains the indicator on the third layer (that is, there are two ways to reach the third layer from the first layer: via the second layer or directly to the third one). Let's make the first layer active. The Alarm signal occurs on the third layer. At the recursive search mode with the set Search for the shortest path checkbox on the first (active) layer, only the indicator of the direct path to the third layer will blink. If the Search for the shortest path checkbox is cleared, both indicators on the first layer will blink (to the third and the second layers).
