To configure the Voice notification service object, do the following:

  1. Go to the Hardware tab of the System settings dialog window (1).
  2. Create the Voice notification service object on the basis of the Computer object in the objects tree (2). The object is displayed in the objects tree, and the settings panel of this object is displayed on the right side of the System setting dialog window.
  3. From the Audio card list (3), select the device to which the voice notification is sent.
  4. In the IP address field (4), specify the IP address of the network device (the network map of the IP camera or Linux Hub) that is used to access this device via the network. When you select the audio card of the local computer, the given field is inactive.
  5. In the Username field (5), enter the username when you select the network device (the network map of the IP camera or Linux Hub) that is used to access this device via the network. When you select the audio card of the local computer, the given field is inactive.
  6. In the Password field (6), enter the password when you select the network device (the network map of the IP camera or Linux Hub) that is used to access this device via the network. When you select the audio card of the local computer, the given field is inactive.
  7. From the Channel list (7), select the way of playing back audio by the software tools using headphones (speakers):
    1. For the audio card with two outputs (left/right), the list contains the following positions:
      1. Left;
      2. Left + Right;
      3. Right.
    2. For the audio card with the number of outputs equal to N, the list contains the enumerated outputs from 0 to (N-1).
  8. Set the volume level using the Volume slider (8).
  9. To save the settings of the Voice notification service object, click the Apply button (9).
