The Telemetry Controller object is used to register and configure the serial (COM) ports used for connecting the PTZ devices in Axxon PSIM.
The settings panel of the Telemetry Controller object is shown in the figure:
The table describes the parameters of the settings corresponding to the elements of the settings panel of the Telemetry Controller object.
№
| Parameter | Method for setting the parameter value | Parameter description | Representation | Default value | Value range |
1 | Identification number* | Automatically | Displays the identification number of the Telemetry Controller object in the video surveillance system with the distributed architecture | Numbers, letters, periods, hyphen, dash, and underscore | NA | Depends on the number of the Telemetry Controller objects in the video surveillance system with the distributed architecture |
2 | Name* | Enter the value in the field | Sets the name of the Telemetry Controller object in the video surveillance system with the distributed architecture | Latin, Cyrillic characters, and service characters | Telemetry Controller No. | A line containing a sequence of any characters (letters, digits, service characters except > and < characters), case-insensitive. Number of characters—from 1 to 60 |
3 | Disable | Set the checkbox | Disables the Telemetry Controller object in the video surveillance system with the distributed architecture | Boolean type | Clear | Set—the Telemetry Controller object is disabled and isn't used Clear—the Telemetry Controller object is enabled and is used |
4 | Computer | Select the value from the list | Sets the Computer parent object of the system with the distributed architecture to which the given Telemetry Controller object belongs | Name of the Computer objects registered in the system | Name of the Computer parent object | Depends on the number of the Computer objects in the video surveillance system with the distributed architecture |

5 | Controller type* | Select the value from the list | Sets the data communication protocol with the PTZ device via the serial (COM) port. Data communication protocols are supplied by the PTZ devices manufacturers | Name of the PTZ devices integrated in the system | Videotec | Corresponds to the list of the PTZ devices integrated in the system |
6 | Port | Select the value from the list | Sets the number of the computer COM port used to connect the PTZ devices | List of the available COM ports | COM1 | Depends on the number of COM ports on the server or Remote Administrator’s workstation. If you select a non-null, the local COM port has a higher priority than other devices when processing commands to the PTZ device. Otherwise, the COM port priority is set by default |
7 | Rate | Select the value from the list | Sets the data communication rate via the COM port | kB/s | 9600 | From 300 to 256000 |
8 | Parity | Select the value from the list | Sets the parity check mode for the data transfer via the COM port | List of parity check names and modes | None | Even, Odd, None, Mark, Space |
9 | DTR | Set the checkbox | Sets the power supply to the PTZ device via the output of the DTR COM port | Boolean type | Set | Set—the power is supplied via the DTR port output Clear—the power isn't supplied via the DTR port output |
10 | RTS | Set the checkbox | Sets the power supply to the PTZ device via the output of the RTS COM port | Boolean type | Set | Set—the power is supplied via the RTS port output Clear—the power isn't supplied via the RTS port output |
*Name of the element isn't displayed in the settings panel of the given object.
