The requirements for cameras that will work with the Barcode detection module are given in the table below.

Camera
  • The resolution depends on the barcode size in the frame. If the barcode size takes half the frame, then a resolution of 260 pixels in width is enough.
  • FPS rate: 6
Lighting
  • The image must be clear, lines are visually separable from each other
Scene and camera view
  • The tilt angle of the camera optical axis to the barcode plane must be no more than 15°
Object images
  • The maximum width and height of the detected barcode are 65536 pixels.
  • The area of the detected barcode isn't less than 1296 pixels.

  • Each of detected barcode sides must not be less than 10 pixels

    Note

    For example, if the barcode height is 10 pixels, then its width must be not less than 130 pixels, and vice versa; if the barcode width is 10 pixels, then its height must be not less than 130 pixels.
