The Short Message Service (SMS) is used for sending short messages to mobile phones about alarm events registered by Intellect software. A short message is sent automatically upon registration of any of the events specified in the corresponding macro.
Actions with Intellect objects can be performed when a SMS is received. Macros, programs in the language embedded in Intellect or Jscript scripts are used for this. When the sms is received the SMS object sends the RECEIVE event in Intellect.
The short messages are transferred using the services of the GSM mobile providers. To send the short messages, dedicated devices are used: GSM modems, GSM adapters and mobile phones.
When using a device with Android OS incoming messages are transliterated in Intellect. |
When using Intellect software SMS service a certain fee should usually be paid to the mobile providers. |
To be able to send the short messages, a GSM modem, a GSM adapter or a mobile phone supporting ETSI GSM 07.07 or ETSI GSM 07.05 should be installed on the computer.
The following modem models are currently integrated into Intellect software:
Most mobile operators protect their USB-modems from using them in mobile networks of other operators. Launch the utility installed with the device simultaneously with the Intellect software to activate sms-notifications when the modem protected by operator is in use. Any other actions (connect to 3G, etc.) with the utility are not required. |
