You can locate several graphical plans of guarded objects on one interactive Map. Each graphical plan is represented by a Layer object.
To create and set up the Layer object, do the following:
To edit the image represented by the Layer, click the Edit selected layer button (4). The Map editor utility will open allowing the graphical image to be edited.
When the Map editor utility is started, then the System settings dialog box is inactive. Close the Map editor utility to continue working with the System settings dialog box. You cannot start the Map editor utility for several layers. |
After a new layer is created and set up, a graphical image of the area is to be attached to it.
The graphical area plan should be saved as a bmp, gif, jpeg, jpg,phg, tiff, emf or svg image file. |
To attach the image, do the following:
Open the Map editor application.
The Map editor application allows selecting the plan of guarded area, creating the symbols for devices and placing them on the map, as well as other settings. |
To open the Map editor, click the Edit selected layer button on the settings panel of the Layer object.
In the main menu of the Map editor, select Map -> General settings.
A dialog box, allowing selecting the image file for the layer, will open.
This dialog box can also be accessed from the Set background item of the context menu of the map area.
Press the button in the Settings dialog box.
A standard dialog box, allowing to select the image file for the layer, will open.
Open the BMP file and click the Open button.
When the layer file is selected, it is copied to the Bmp folder in INTELLECT™ installation folder.
For proper operation of the interactive map in the distributed configuration, the Bmp folders are to be synchronized at all computers in the distributed system. Folders are synchronized manually – by copying their contents. |
Specify the resolution of the image in pixels.
The values specified in the Width and Height fields are to match actual resolution of the image file.
The Map editor will display the new graphical plan of the guarded area.
