If you install INTELLECT™ software on computer where an earlier version is used, then installation will be in the updating mode.
Update the Intellect software on Remote Clients while its updating on the Server or on Remote Admin Workstation. The compatible versions of the Intellect software should be installed on Remote Clients and on Server/Remote Admin Workstation, i.e. the first two digits of version number should be the same (e.g. versions 4.8.2 and 4.9.2 are not compatible, but versions 4.9.3 and 4.9.7 are compatible). Intellect since version 4.10.2 is not compatible with earlier versions in the distributed configuration. |
To update INTELLECT™ software, do the following:
To log all installation events, set the Enable full installation log checkbox.
While installing and uninstalling the software events are logged to Intellect.log and Intellect uninstall.log correspondingly. To collect log-files, the “Support.exe” tool is to be used (see The utility for collecting configuration data on servers and RWS for the Technical Support section). |
Set the checkboxes next to the components that are to be installed.
All offered components are recommended to be installed. |
Click the Install button.
The selected prerequisites and drivers will be installed.
If Intellect is updated to a version whose second and/or third number is larger than that of the currently installed version (for example, from version 4.10.4 to 4.10.5, or 4.9.5 to 4.10.5), compatibility is lost with industry-specific vertical solutions built for old versions. This is why, during the installation process, you are asked to remove industry-specific vertical solutions. ACFA Intellect modules are not removed such way. It is required to remove these modules manually before updating to avoid problems at start. |
When prerequisites and drivers are installed, the dialog box of INTELLECT update is displayed.
Select one of the offered types of update. The types of update are described in the table below

Click the Next button.
When the system is configured, installation of INTELLECT™ software starts.
The Software Installation dialog box is displayed.
Click the Finish button.
Then the Axxon Driver Pack will be installed. |
The Installation complete dialog box is displayed. It contains the information about INTELLECT components mode (installed or not).
The dialog box offering to restart the computer is displayed.
It is recommended to select the option of closing the program with computer restart. |
INTELLECT software is now updated.
