The Map object is designed to register and configure the Map interface object in the Intellect system, which allows creating and mapping the symbols of the installed devices in the controlled territory and to use the symbols to operate the devices. The settings panel of the Map object is shown in the figure.
The table describes the parameters of the settings corresponding to the elements of the settings panel of the Map object.
№ | Parameter | Method for entering the parameter | Parameter description | Symbols used | Default value | Value range |
1 | ID* | Automatically | Displays the ID of the Map object in the digital distributed video surveillance system. | Sequence of numbers | - | From 1 and above. Depends on the number of Map objects in the digital distributed video surveillance system. |
2 | Name* | Enter the value in the field | Displays the name of the Map object in the digital distributed video surveillance system. | Latin, Cyrillic and service characters | Map | A line containing a sequence of any symbols (letters, digits, service characters apart from > and < symbols), not case-sensitive Number of symbols – from 1 to 60. |
3 | Disable | Set the checkbox checked | Sets the status of the Map object in the digital distributed video surveillance system. | Boolean type | No | Yes – the Map object is disabled and is not in use No – the Map object is enabled and is in use. |
4 | Display | Select in the list | Sets the parent Display object of the digital distributed system to which the given Map object refers. | Names of the Display objects registered in the system. | Name of the parent Display object. | Depends on the number of Display objects in the digital distributed video surveillance system |
5 | Search alarmed links recursively | Set the checkbox checked | Defines, if recursive search for the objects in the layers is possible. The recursive search means a search, where the transfer from one layer, containing an object, to another layer, containing a symbol, follows a gradual pattern of moving to the neighboring layers, using consecutive links. | Boolean type | No | Yes – a recursive search is enabled. No – a recursive search is disabled. |
6 | Search for the shortest path | Set the checkbox checked | Enables the search for the shortest path to the alarmed layer. If there are several paths from the active to the alarm layer, then the shortest path is defined automatically when the Alarm signal incomes (only one the Link to layer icon with the shortest path will blink in the active layer). Can be enabled only along with the Search alarmed links recursively option. | Boolean type | No | Yes – search for the shortest path is enabled No – search for the shortest path is disabled |
7 | Over all windows when alarm | Set the checkbox checked | Sets, if the window of the Map interface object can be displayed over all active applications in case of the Alarm signal incomes from any object of the Map interface object. | Boolean type | No | Yes - the window of the Map interface object will be displayed over all active applications in case of the Alarm signal incomes from any object of the Map interface object. No - the window of the Map interface object will not be displayed over all active applications in case of the Alarm signal incomes from any object of the Map interface object. |
8 | No image caching | Set the checkbox checked | Image caching is disabled. It is in use when images overlay each other. | Boolean type | No | Yes – caching is disabled. No – caching is enabled. |

9 | X | Enter the value in the box
| Sets a coordinate in the X horizontal axis for the upper left corner of the window of the Map interface object on the screen. | % of the screen width | Not set | From 0 to M*100, where M is the number of video monitors installed. |
10 | Y | Enter the value in the box
| Sets a coordinate in the Y vertical axis for the upper left corner of the window of the Map interface object on the screen. | % of the screen height | Not set | From 0 to M*100, where M is the number of video monitors installed. |
11 | W | Enter the value in the box
| Sets the width of the window of the Map interface object. | % of the screen width | Not set | From 0 to M*100, where M is the number of video monitors installed. |
12 | H | Enter the value in the box | Sets the height of the window of the Map interface object. | % of the screen width | Not set | From 0 to M*100, where M is the number of video monitors installed. |
13 | Autoswitch | Set the checkbox checked | Activates autoswitch to the Alarm source layer in the Map interface object. | Boolean type | No | Yes – in case of an alarm from an object, the system will switch to the source layer where the object is located. No – in case of an alarm from an object, the system will not switch to the source layer where the object is located. |
14 | Monitor | Select in the list | The number of monitor in OS for which coordinates are specified | Numbers of monitors | 1 | 1-9 |
15 | Create map copy | Click the button | Creates another Map object with all parameters identical to the given object | - | - | - |
16 | Object tracking monitor | Select in the list | Select the object tracking monitor. Find details in the Using absolute telemetry section of Installing and configuring security system components guide. | Names of available Monitor objects | - | Depends on the number of Monitor objects created in the system |
17 | Show last ____ events in info window | Enter the value in the box | Sets the number of events of the selected object to be shown in the info window on the Map. | Sequence of numbers | 10 | >=0 |
*The name of the element is not displayed in the settings panel of the given object.
