The calculation results for a Operator's workstation (Client) contain the information about the total incoming stream for viewing and about the server specifications. To view the calculation results, select the type of calculation Operator's workstation (see Selecting the type of calculation).
The results of the selection of hardware platforms may vary both upward and downward in the hardware configuration, depending on the used camera model, camera settings, image exposure, and parameters of video stream decoding for display. If you use additional objects, it can increase the hardware configuration.
The bitrate values used for streams calculation are for informational purposes only. For an accurate calculation of camera bitrate, use the camera manufacturer's calculator. A list of known calculation programs is displayed in the Vendor's calculator drop-down list in the top menu of the Calculator. |
As for the Server, both AxxonSoft partners' solutions and Server specifications are calculated. The same actions are available with the calculation results as when calculating the Server—see Platform calculation results for Server and Server with viewing client.
Consider the following features when calculating the platform for Operator's workstation:
When you turn on the Use NVIDIA GPU decoding switch (see Decoding on Nvidia GPU for Operator’s workstation), the table with recommended GPUs is also displayed:
For the Operator's workstation (Client), it is sufficient to use an NVIDIA GeForce GT520 / Intel HD Graphics 530 graphics card (integrated into a 6th generation Intel Core processor) or a higher-performance GPU.
For hardware accelerated video decoding (Intel Quick Sync), use the graphics card built into some Intel processors (for example, Intel HD Graphics 530 built into the 6th generation Intel Core processor). This technology allows for faster and more energy efficient processing of video content. For more information on Intel Quick Sync Technology, see the product documentation.
