By default, if the response type is not specified explicitly in the request, HTTP API responses are sent in JSON format (see Axxon PSIM HTTP API). To enable XML response by default, do the following:

  1. Go to the Web server 2.0 object settings panel.

  2. Uncheck the Response type "JSON" by default checkbox (1).
  3. Click Apply (2).

If response type is explicitly specified in the request, this setting is ignored.
